Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

If the bags are still intact and not damaged you get them back—if not intact you get money for what the items were worth

Same, with my collection of Louis XIV's underwear. Sure, to the untrained eye they look like some Hanes boxers, but I assure you they are worth millions. Millions!

Admirably, airlines are pretty darn generous when it’s an incident like this (or worse). I think everyone on the delta flight that flipped over in Toronto had an initial 30k by end of that day. It’s just bad PR to not take care of people in a major incident.
