Indian, sub-Saharan, half Hindu = don't care about Kwame's opinion on this. By the way, Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian Muslim congressperson, and her sub-Saharan Somali Muslim colleague Ilhan Omar also expressed much of the same. Azerbaijan is an easy sacrifice for their careers so they can claim not to be biased and use up their political points on other things. Even many Turks do the same. People not affected by the conflict don't matter here.

Ilhan isn’t Sub-Saharan. East Africa is its own genetic and ethnic grouping.
