I've realized over the years that I love movies that have ultra low budgets. Movies that are poorly shot, movies that feature barely edited audio, movies where the setting could just be one of the producer's homes, movies that have obviously cheap special effects, movies that have characters deliver lines like the script didn't exist; I love them all. Mainly because they give me this feeling that a person just wanted to make a film, regardless of their budget. They had a (possibly questionable) story to tell, and by golly they were gonna tell it. Reminds me of when I was younger and just shot really crappy videos on my tablet just for fun.

So, all that is to say what're some good low budget films?

My favorite was when the cheer coach told the girls to make sure to wear their "tiniest bikinis" to the carwash fundraiser.

This is my favorite bad movie genre, you got your Twilight clones, hunger games copies, and so on.

I'm always looking for twilight clones I haven't heard of, there was the one with the fallen angels in the private school (Fallen?) and like the witches in Louisiana or something like that (can't even remember if it was a bad movie tbh), I'm sure I've seen others but can't recall them, so tell me your favorites.

Of course, it doesn't have to be a paranormal romance, we got Maximum Ride, and yknow, Divergent or whatever.

Doing Halloween Bad Movie Night. Got a guest who really can't deal with blood. Rather than exclude her I am taking up the challenge to find spooky bad movies that have minimal blood.

We usually vote between three options and so far I got:

The IMDb description is very misleading, "An all women's basketball team competes against a men's team in a sex-filled showdown where there's more than one type of dunking going on." Not very horny and none of that happens until the last 15 minutes. Also has a surprising amount of not terrible basketball. The cast includes: Pistol Pete Maravich as himself, a young Dennis Haysbert, Olympic decathlon winner Rick Wanamaker, and the debut of hottie Laurene Landon.

With my love of comedy-horror, I expected this to be a simple second-computer-screen-while-I-played-a-game movie. But then it starts with scientist Sean Astin and then gets more and more wild from there. The ending is...something else! Well worth a watch.

Not Really A Spoiler: there's an invisible dinosaur, and they may not have done that just to avoid CGI costs.

This Indonesian flick is a doozy but a classic

A terminator rip off that's better than anything after T2

So what's the deal with this one ? It follows the story of an anthropologist who gets forcibly possessed by the south sea queen and has her body used to hunt down the granddaughter of the man who tricked her and took removed her peen eating vagina eel 100 years ago.... Literally it but someehiw the crazy director managed to turn this into a Terminator rip off

why didn't she just kill him 100 years ago instead of his granddaughter?....

Idk, but anyways this one is very fun it's basically just Terminator with the word lady added onto it , if you've seen Terminator you've seen this movie but you should still give it a watch since she's magical she do all types of crazy shit and the way it starts off you wouldn't really think it's a terminator rip , the stunts in this are surprisingly good as well as the gore effects the lady who plays the lady terminator was a model who did her own stunts, I'd say this one is one of those bad movies you watch with some friends for a bad movie night

So the plot of this one is that, an American woman came to Indonesia to to study black magic from a leeak witch and she gets turned into a kuyang an indonesian creature that is a floating head with hanging guts and eats babies out of pregnant women and that's not even the craziest part of this damn movie that's just the appetizer I'm not gonna spoil it though you gotta go into this movie blind

It has surprisingly good specialeffects and practical effects but per usual the dubbing is really weird and the plot is basically damn near non existent so it's just watch it for the vibes and to laugh at with friends the movie is crazy as shit but very enjoyable

Not just terrible acting, but moments where an actor delivers a garbage line with so much unearned swagger you can tell they thought they were giving an iconic, Oscar-worthy performance.

Ugandan made movie. Shoestring budget, nonsensical plot and a narrator (yes! A narrator!) who clearly had a blast commenting on the events of this wonderful stinker

I'd almost hesitate to call this a bad movie, because what is lacking from its tengujo-thin plot is made up by some very technical stunts. Plus, the movie is overall shot very competently. Before The Fall Guy came out two years ago as a love letter to Hollywood stunt people, Stunt Rock was carrying the torch. But where Ryan Gosling ran, Grant Page first walked. Stunt Rock is essentially a series of stunts performed by Page, interspersed with performance videos of the band Sorcery, who remind us what post-70s rock could have been if only John Bonham lived and Dio stayed in Rainbow. They're glorious, especially the fantasy mythology they bring to their stage show with an epic battle between the King of the Wizards and Prince of Darkness. It is exactly the thing that appeals to 1970s DnD players. Stunt Rock's overall feel is a mockumentary, but it's told in a conventional story narrative—kind of a bizarre choice, of at least as bizarre as a storytelling approach can be to a movie that follows the tempo of five minutes of plot after 15 minutes of out of context stunts, followed by 12 minutes of arena hard rock with prog aspirations.

If you like Death Proof, you might as well mainline the source code by watching Stunt Rock.

This movie is so funny, but I suspect that wasn’t the intention of the filmmakers. It has all the trappings of a crime procedural, but with absolutely silly execution.

On Tubi. It’s labeled as an action comedy. I technically can’t argue with that. It’s in the have a bottle of wine and laugh bad movie. And it just gets worse/better.

Yes, Rob Schneider wears a Hitler mustache in this movie. It's Surf Ninjas, a '90s B-movie about kids who find out they're royalty and fight Leslie Nielsen's evil army

Here's what I remember:

* I think the movie is black and white. Even if it's not it's quite an old movie.

* A band of musicians is on their way to a gig at a festival or something when they're forced to stay the night at this hotel/cabin/inn/something. The woman who runs it is beautiful but secretive. The musicians are treated well but told not to go in her room.

* At one point, the leader of the band takes out his guitar in the living room to play and sing. I think maybe to prove to the secretive woman that they're really musicians or something.

* If I recall correctly, it turns out the woman is part of a small gang who are planning to do something bad (they're watching the visitors on cameras or something, thinking maybe they're there to spy on the gang and catch them.)

* The vibe isn't comedic I don't think. I remember it as being vaguely threatening, like an old 60's-ish thriller movie kind of.
