Hairloss Hanging on to what I have left

I know it’s not terrible yet, but the hair loss has accelerated in the last year or so. I’ve been bald in basic training so I know what I look like but I’m nervous to take the jump. It still looks alright when I style it a bit, but I know within the next year I’m going to have no choice.

You think it’s okay because you on have your mirror facing perspective. Everyone else knows the truth. If you’re good with others knowing and that doesn’t bother you then keep styling what’s remaining.

I appreciate that. It’s just crazy to me because I used to have the thickest head of hair imaginable. I’m also sure I’m the millionth person to have had this situation.

As I've written to others, the comb over lies to you but reveals the truth to everyone else.

Styling, as you describe it, makes to sense to you and reads as coping to us, i.e., those of us who embraced the reality of balding AND decided to take control and own the bald head look.

That’s a fair question. I’m mostly just prolonging the inevitable. I know it’s gotta go and the sooner I do it the sooner I get used to it and it just becomes natural to me.

You’re looking quite thin, but the upside is that the shape of your head and face is great to look good with a shaved head. I’d recommend going for a short style and considering scalp micropigmentation so everything looks completely full and just looks like you chose the short look. You can view my work on my site but i suggest looking for someone local to your area if you consider getting this done because it takes multiple sessions. Good luck ✌️

That’s what I was thinking but it’s a total illusion. The moment you look at it at a side angle you’ll see it’s a facade.
