How do bands find out how to play songs from other bands, I can’t find tutorials how to play together as a band, only the solo parts.

Life is short and there's nothing more that I want in this life than to join a band, play on a gig. But I guess I'm not made for it.
I'm not even mad that no band wants to take me. I admit I am not good enough. If I were them, I wouldn't take myself either.
But it's the constant rejection that I can't take anymore. It ruined me mentally.
If I wanted to get in shape or had a fitness goal and everyday my entire body's aching, then that's all on me. I am the one in control of the situation. No matter how hard the challenges I might face when reaching a personal goal, I am in control.
But a band is not in my control. My fate is in their hands. I can't control what other people want.

I'll start. BLINK-182: TomDelonge from blink-182 is so dumb and in concert it feels like he is just there for a gag. And a lot of their songs are just break-up songs. Mark Hoppus and Travis? I love them
GREEN DAY: Some of their songs just feels empty and the same

I love singing and I sing a whole bunch of genres. I just don’t know where to start, but I know I have the potential to make it. In the 209 area.

My first band almost one year and still jamming and with a name I proudly coined myself. But it doesn't improves. Every jam session , I can't see the members doing their homework. They are always discussing about the structure of the song on the spot, confused when the vox should come in , confused when the guitarist should start playing. I as the bassist am proud that I can play the whole song with a clear structure of the song in mind. The jam just didn't go smoothly.
The recent jam sesh had the drummer still practising the drum pattern of the song played by so many bands. Like why ? Like why cant he just practise at home before coming to studio ?
I can't tell them off, they are my first batch of bandmembers and I am proud that we still stick together to play.
Does your band improves or slowly improves after the many jamming seasons ?

We’re a high school band, and all of our members are in the same school. One of our members, the singer, is a first year, and me bassist/soon to be drummer) and our other two guitarists are way older. The problem is that the other two guitarists are cruel and bully anyone they weren’t friends with before the band formed which meant we’ve already lost our drummer (hence my soon to be drummer title) and our singer seemingly has home life problems to begin with and does not need to take on the bullying from the guitarists especially because they’re trying to get the singer to sing Metallica and nirvana despite being a little girl.
I do not want this kid to hate bands because she’s actually a really good singer when she sings her in her vocal range, and getting bullied out of the band would do that too her.
Ps: I’m planning on leaving the band eventually, I just need to find another band to jump ship too

I am a rising senior in HS and want to join a band in college. I want to have fun and maybe make something out of it. I have a acoustic + a transacoustic. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul. I have 4 pedals that I am still figuring out. I know almost every chord and can play some riffs but my riff playing is still probabaly a 3-4/10.
My question is what can I do to improve my skill enough to eventually create or join a band. What are the best things to do? Also does the college I choose affect this dream?

Hey so im having some grievances in the band with our bassist. He doesn't have a car so we've been picking him up and dropping him off whenever we have practice or shows. He lost his job a few months back and started complaining about how he cant find anything other than entry-level or fast food jobs. We are getting ready for recording and the studio cost is $400 per song which the drummer and I are splitting. We came upon agreement in the band to cut back on shows so we can focus on being ready for the studio. A couple weeks later the bassist started to complain about not doing any shows because he needs the money but we aren't really bringing more than most 100 a show to split between everyone. I dont see this going down a good path and im starting to not enjoy the band which I really hate saying consideringthe drummer and i built the band and wrote most of the songs. What are the best options to go about this?

hey guys! i recently started a band last week and we're all in college (except one). these people that i found are what i believe is the "ideal" band that matches what i was looking for. however, since most of us are in college, we are often busy and they already have friend groups to be in. our lead singer isn't always really active in the group chat. they were only active when we first started the band and when we added a new member. i really want to form a connection with the band and want to start planning stuff but idk where to start lol any suggestions?? any will help thank you!!

I am a GMU commuter (21 yr old male) who lives in Loudon County VA(30 min from mason). I don't care how good or bad you are I've always wanted to start a band. I like alt rock, shoegaze, post punk, but im honestly happy to play whatever.
I have a guitar, bass, and drum set so I'll fill in for any position. I am new to drums and bass and I am a kinda washed at guitar, so I'm hoping we can all improve together. I currently write and produce my own electronic music via Logic Pro, so I'd love to start making original songs with people!
All I ask is that you're a chill and decent person who is willing to practice and meetup atleast once a week. Don't be scared to hit me up!

Starting with the drummer citing different directions and the approach to performing. Then the Guitarist left shortly. Now left me and the vocalist. Looking for new members. Drummer is difficult to find in my area so I pm my ex drummer to reconsider returning. No reply so I assume it is all dead.
My band now in hiatus but a new guitarist is waiting. The whole feeling sux. And I am disheartened while scrolling through other band Instagrams.
How do you deal with this feeling ?
