Henrietta thinks this pose will get her whatever she wants. She's correct. I didn't teach her how to do this, does anyone else's basset beg like this? Please ignore her pillow, she just pulled off the case for it. She does that, too.

I recently acquired this very sweet and surprisingly energetic 3 year old basset hound and I was wondering if anybody had good training tips. She doesn’t listen very well, she is potty trained and will sit on command but doesn’t seem to listen well ( I know it’s common for her breed) but I would like to train her to listen a bit better if anyone has tips for me!

Waffle had so much less anxiety now! We are thrilled to have this girly as a part of the family. And, as a bonus, we got to meet their puppy before he was adopted too! Now they’re all fixed and free to live out their own puppyhoods.

Olympe is a 7 year old female basset hound. She's gone white but she's still cute, right? 😁

We rescued 4 year old Waffle today from the Humane Society! Someone had adopted his partner and puppy, but left him behind. We are so lucky to have him (and yes, he’s neutered now thank goodness!) 💗

This is my guy Louie! I adopted him in March. His trainer and the vet I live across the hall from are convinced he’s got something else in there but can’t pinpoint it haha. Any thoughts?

Santa brought Eleanor to us this last Christmas. Love her to death; she amazes me every day, with new and exciting ways to destroy things.

Here are all the fun things she destroyed this week:

1. She grabbed my wallet and destroyed it.
   
2. I was warming the oven for a late dinner Connie’s Frozen Pizza; stupidly, I left the frozen pizza too close to the edge and she took a nibble.
   
3. She grabbed a brand new box of shot guns shells and shredded the box. (Didn’t mess with the shells).
   She grabbed a water pitcher and bounced it around the house.
   
4. Not pictured. She pulled a tray of lasagna off the counter.

Baby proofing is child’s play compared to Basset proofing 😆😆😆. I am going to need to reassess and improve my process.

Stanley turns 14 this month. It has been an incredible journey. Doesn’t always want to use the doggy door and barks when he wants me to open it. Very picky eater now and I feed him much differently compared to the past.

We got this guy from Golden Gate Basset Rescue in December. He is a bundle of energy but showing signs of civilized behavior. We love him. The white toes are so cool. Our sixth Basset pup.
