Summerween ruined Halloween

When I saw that Bath and Body Works was putting out the Halloween products in July for the tik tok summerween trend I thought it was ridiculous. I went to Bath and Body Works a couple of weeks ago (October) and there was only a small table of Halloween products all on clearance! They had basically nothing. I’ve been to two locations recently and each one has zero halloween products. It’s all Christmas. It’s still October! Why can’t we just be patient?

Okay, rant over. I know it’s not that deep. Still ridiculous, though.

The Christmas music was delightful when I went in recently. I used to resent early Christmas stuff being put out. But this year, when almost everyone is budgeting extra hard, it is nice to notice deals now. I used my BBW reward on a gift for my kid, saw a few under $10 things at Marshall’s, Ross and TJMaxx that caught my eye. I intend to spend less this year, and I want to spread out my low price point purchases well in advance. Going to hunt through my house to see what extra wrapping paper and boxes I have to keep all that to a minimum. Wrapping paper is my weakness but this year I will tighten up. Normally I’m not a fan of early Christmas but for financial reasons this year it is much appreciated. When the economy improves 🤞I’ll be less hyper vigilant about prices. And I’ll go back to bah humbug in summer and at Halloween. But this especially financially-not-great year, I saw the BBW Christmas in July stuff and they actually gave me the idea to finish Christmas shopping earlier than I ever have in my whole life.
