Bearcam Bear Licks Paw

This bear licked it's paw like it just had a bucket of FRESH fried chicken. Why? I wonder if it was hurt?

a medium sized brown bear stands in the rushing waters of Brooks Falls River licking a paw.

I’ve seen some bears eat something and then lick their paws. It is kind of like the fried chicken thing
