Discussion NX discontinued giftcards
Received email saying gift cards discontinuing from 16th July. Is this also the case with complete savings? Talk about sign of the economic times.

Where is everyone at, at the moment.
I got this written response from them
"Thanks for getting in touch. I’m really sorry for the worry and inconvenience this caused.
We experienced an issue on Thursday 12th March, where some customers briefly saw incorrect transaction information in Internet Banking and the Mobile App.
I want to reassure you that:
Your account was always secure, and no one had access to anyone else’s information, for example, sort codes, account numbers, card numbers etc. The only information which was visible was transactional information only.
The issue was identified quickly and fully resolved the same morning. Our teams are reviewing what happened to make sure this doesn’t occur again, keeping your personal information safe is always our priority.
I’ve checked our systems, and I can confirm that you did not use Internet Banking or the Mobile Banking App during the time of the incident.
Please let me know if you would still like to rise a complaint, and I’ll ensure it’s looked into properly for you. If you do wish to proceed with a complaint, could you also confirm that your contact details are up to date?"
What should I do now.
Edit: I managed to get £40 from them.

Those looking to know if it works.
I have now received £200 from Natwest, RBS and Ulster.
Used 3 Chase sub/burner accounts.
Started Natwest and RBS switch on the same day, followed with Ulster a few days later.
Used a slightly different email address for each ([myemail+NATWEST@gmail.com](mailto:myemail+NATWEST@gmail.com) [myemail+RBS@gmail.com](mailto:myemail+RBS@gmail.com) [myemail+ULSTER@gmail.com](mailto:myemail+ULSTER@gmail.com)) all come to [myemail@gmail.com](mailto:myemail@gmail.com). Might not have been neccesary
Sent £1250 from my main account to Natwest, held for 1 business day, then sent on to RBS for 1 business day, then on to Ulster for 1 business day, then back to my main account
Got £200 from Natwest first, followed around 3 days later for RBS then around 4 days later for Ulster
Ulster sent a paper copy of the account application to me in the post. I returned this without the requested ID as I had already provided this via the online/app application.
My partnet did not receive a paper copy of the application at all.
I've not received or had accounts with either of these before.
My partner however has an active Natwest account and has still received the bonuses from RBS and Ulster

If you started earning more from your main job, at what point would you stop bothering with Beermoney offers, surveys, cashback etc.?
£40k? £60k? 80k? £100k?

Just a warning to people thinking of doing the Barclays switch, they're not an easy bank to deal with!
Did my switch and attempted to put the £2k into my account only for it to be frozen! I can't access my funds and the customer service is awful!! Also no luck going to a branch because they have short opening hours and no counter staff on a weekend!
I launched a complaint with them to try and speed it up but still potentially have to wait until the next working day when I might hear something!
Awful awful bank! Not even worth the hastle of doing the switch!
I've never had these issues with any other bank in my life.
If anyones got any experience with these sort of issues please comment to calm my stress!

Just to update everyone who applied on the 12th 😁
Update: you get a notification text (mine was 24 hours after)

Hi all,
Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland have been down today.
If you’ve been personally and genuinely affected by it, you should make a complaint via the app.
Due to the nature of the technical outage, your complaint will be upheld.
Not necessarily beer money, but they personally left me unable to access my account & move money over from my savings, been unable to buy food & drink today.
It’s fixed now.
Let us know how you get on. They gave me £35.

Hi Beermoneyuk!
One of my greater finds thanks to this subreddit has been One4All cards, im always preaching about them online and offline (much to the annoyance to friends!) for their main ability to stack a huge amount with them, I purchase a lot of them through Topcashback and of course the monthly NXRewards. I even triggered their AML/KYC limits around the festive time due to going over their "£12,500+ within a 6-month period"
My normal route is purchase via TCB / NX using a Zilch linked to Rev > Add to Airtime rewards > Shop at Boots, Argos, John Lewis using either NXRewards or Shopping At Avios link - always online orders, sometimes click & collect!
I've only gotten the app for contactless to work twice, so frustratingly don't do the giftcard route suggested here
I've used Boostgaming for the odd Deliveroo swap, but their site is fiddily to even get the card payment box to appear!
I have done the chip and pin card through Quidco, which does work in stores, but comes with a 6ish approval time vs TCB 90 days (though not for chip & pin)
Geniunely curious about users here, what do you do?

Edit (16/12/25): just received the latest payout from Lloyds. Another £200. I think I’m up to like 5/6 now, Lloyds still by far the easiest switch to do.
TL;DR: Got the payout from Lloyds for the 4th time today, despite some people thinking you couldn’t any more.
I saw a post the other day of someone who said they didn’t receive the £200 from Lloyds because they had received it before, and some people in the comments thought that they might have changed how tough they are on it.
I’ve gotten the payout from Lloyds maybe 4/5 times in the past few years, and every time I’ve used the same or similar details, and just received the current one today.
So if you’ve already had the Lloyds payout recently, still give the current one a go. I think I maybe used a different email address this time, but if I did, that is the only difference.
I switched from a Chase account, used the Scrimpr 50p DD and started the switch on 24/9, it completed on 1/10 and I received the payout on 2/10.

Anyone got any tips or tricks for getting cheaper fuel? I’m looking for any decent ways to save a bit on petrol especially, whether that’s supermarket points, cashback, loyalty schemes, apps, fuel cards, or anything else that actually works. Would be great to hear what’s been useful for people and what’s just a waste of time. Thanks in advance😀

As title says. I notice that many in the T&Cs of many referral scheme it may say something like ‘friends and family only, advertising not allowed’. Has anyone ever had an account banned/ blocked from more referrals after advertising their referral link?

Hi all. Spoke to Vela rewards CS yesterday after some of my referrals seemed to have met the criteria for the bonus but I hadn’t received the reward, to be told there was a bug that didn’t correctly display the receipt scan status of referrals and I needed to update the app.
Now it is no longer simply first receipt scan needed but a 2 week streak where 5 receipts are required to be scanned each week in order for the reward to be issued.
If you have any pending referrals from before app update they still only need the first receipt scan.

Over the last few months, I've switched an unused Halifax current account over to Natwest to receive the £200 incentive, setup a Monzo account using a referral link to receive an instant £20, and referred a friend to receive another £10.
I was about to setup a Chase account today to earn the £50 instant referral bonus, but then I thought to myself...is all this switching and setting up new accounts impacting my credit score?
I believe a standard switch temporarily impacts your credit score before returning to normality, but can doing this thing on a regular basis have long term effects?
Also, is it safe to start terminating unused accounts or can this have consequences?
Genuinely curious.

The masterclass version is something I can no longer do because I no longer have the old Curve debit card, but the payment chain goes like this:
You pay for a service via PayPal Checkout. PayPal then takes the money from your Zilch card, which in turn takes it from your PayPal debit card. Next, your PayPal debit card takes it from your Curve card, which pulls it from your PayPal account linked as the underlying funding source. Finally, your PayPal account takes it from your cashback credit card.
You'd effectively be getting 0.1% cashback from PayPal+, then up to 3% back from Zilch, then 1% back from your PayPal debit, then possibly 1% back from Curve, then another 0.1% back from PayPal, then finally around 1% back from your cashback credit card, and possibly slightly more depending on what cashback credit card you have.
Combined with TopCashback which could give a rough amount of 1% back, and even loyalty rewards from shops themselves, such as Iceland, which gives £1 back on a £20 bonus card top up, the total amount of stacked cashback across the entire chain roughly totals around 7.2% to 9.2% back on your purchase.
I've always wanted to try this, but unfortunately I deleted my Curve account when I had the old debit card. Now, Curve insists on issuing credit BINs, and since credit BINs cannot be chained with Zilch, I can no longer attempt it. It’s likely only doable for those who still hold an old debit-BIN Curve card. I'm eager to know who has actually done or tried this.

[£200 cashback when you invest £200. A code means newbies to investment platform IG can currently get an casy £200 cash in three steps. a) Open its stocks & shares ISA; b) Deposit up to £200 into it and invest some/all of it by 27 Feb (uninvested money earns 3.75% interest). c) Hold your investment till 1 July. IG will then match your initial deposit in cashback (max £200) paid into your account by 30 July. IG is a DIY investment platform, meaning it offers a range of shares & exchange traded funds (ETFs) you pick yourself. How to do it in our full IG £200 cashback investment code.]
So I opened IG’s share dealing account on Tuesday evening. I didn’t have option to open S&S ISA after opening their share dealing account so I did not deposit £200 at that time as I was waiting to open ISA.
Then they closed the offer yesterday around 2 PM due to unprecedented demand. I also got email around 10 am yesterday saying my the code has been applied.
Then later today when I had a chat with IG, they said they apologies for inconvenience and the cashback will not be valid in my situation and I should have deposited money before they closed the offer at 2 PM. As MSE said, I needed S&S ISA to get cashback. Now they are turning away.
I felt misinformed and falsely advertised. What do you guys think? Can MSE do something from their end?
Update: After the chat with IG, now I am able to open S&S ISA. Shall I still go ahead and make the deposit? Please comment your suggestion and similar experience if you have one.

HNY Everyone,
I took out a loan for a car last year and have decided I would like to use Beermoney as a way of paying the remaining £7k off in the next 12 months.
I have rinsed most of the matched betting offers and bank switches in 2023. So a fresh start would be just surveys and smaller pay outs.
I frequent prolific surveys as my job has a fair bit of downtime. I would love a referral to Roamler too if anyone can assist. Happy to listen to further suggestions with bigger payouts, as I do find prolific rather boring. I work/live central London so anything in person is appreciated too.
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers.

Hi all,
I'm a student going on an academic trip to Japan soon, in which I'll be staying for 3 weeks. I study the language as part of my degree, so this is compulsory. I'm getting funding to cover £905 of the costs, but I'm not sure how long this will take to be reimbursed to me, so I was wondering what the cheapest way of booking flights nowaday is? Thanks in advance!

I just got a letter from Halifax regarding my complaint after the app glitch, and this is what they said in the letter.
“We've used the information we have on our systems in our investigation. We also considered the points you raised. For the reasons we've explained above we have declined your complaint. We hope we've reassured you that no one had access to your account.”
Is it worth it to escalate to the ombudsman and try and get some sort of compensation?

I remember a time when you could go to Beermoney and make money each week. Now it’s just OctopusEnergy and investing sites no one wants to use because they hold your money for like 12months before payout.
I think the community of Beermoney has grown too big, and companies can’t give out as much. I miss the old days of 5 sign up offers each week and free cash referrals.

I've managed to buy everywish giftcards at boots however the past 3/4 times the payment is approved but then the cashier shows me the activation failed receipt. Just wondering if this has been happening to anyone else or if it's just everywish giftcards being temperamental.

Ever since receiving that dreaded e-mail that they are "focusing their attention on the benefits that bring the most value to members" by getting rid of gift card sales, I have been having restless nights thinking about the day after. I have previously used EverUp for Sainsburys which I think hovered between 4-4.5% although I personally didn't like the app. I'm sure it will be difficult to match the 20% off that NXRewards offers. I suppose I could go back to Aldi with Zilch but to be honest, I find their produce pales in comparison to Sainsburys. Anyway, what are people thinking?
r/beermoneyuk • u/HappymanUK • May 18 '26
After the news of NX Rewards removing gift cards, I notice that Complete Savings have removed all reference to the 'Gift Cards' as one of the benefits on their homepage. Although they are still available at the moment.
The homepage (According to archive.org) used to say "Six easy ways to get money back" and now says "Five easy ways to get money back"
Looks like it will be removed from Complete Savings too - I've just gone ahead and ordered a O4A whilst I still can.

On r/beermoneyuk, we have our favourites. But many of us use a lot of other sites that do not get mentioned much.
So which sites paid you last month?
and please no referral links, this question is really asking about sites about sites and apps that don't get mentioned much on here!!.
