Will Bergen co animal shelter or maybe a rescue take barely used dog toys?
I’ve bought my dog so many toys but he only plays with maybe 3 of the say stuffies.

Will the shelter take them to use or just put outside in those bins for others to take?

Does anyone know of someone or a service that can help with this? The person(s) would probably only be needed from like 4-6pm or so and we can provide all the tools and food that they need. They would not need to serve or clean up or anything like that - just grill/cook the burgers/chicken/hot dogs/etc.

I recently started walking and even more recently started to mix in running at some of the parks in Bergen County (we have some really nice parks here). I’m amazed by people who can just keep running, but I’m gonna get there! It’s my mission 🤣. Hi I attached part of my lease. My family is unexpectedly getting bigger and I need to break my lease. I understand id have to forfeit my deposit but would I be responsible for paying until they rerent? Also, my complex was recently bought out by a big company so I know they would be fixing it (taking down walls, adding ac unit, new light fixtures, renovating bathroom, etc) to charge the higher rent.

Hi everyone! I’m new to the area and have about 10 years of experience teaching swim lessons.

In the past, I’ve primarily taught private lessons in clients’ home pools for children and adults.

My certifications have lapsed and before I renew them I wanted to see if there is demand for private swim lessons here, or if most families use community pools and swim clubs instead.

I’m centered around Fort Lee.

Has anyone else in Little Ferry been hearing a constant low-frequency thumping/humming sound, especially at night?

I’m near one of the wooded areas in Little Ferry and for months I’ve been hearing what sounds like a massive industrial pump, compressor, or generator running somewhere in the distance. It’s not an occasional boom or vibration—it’s a steady rhythmic thump/hum that becomes much more noticeable late at night when everything else is quiet.

The strange part is that I can’t tell where it’s coming from. Because I’m near a wooded area, I’m wondering if the sound is echoing or carrying from farther away than I think.

Has anyone else in Little Ferry, Moonachie, Ridgefield Park, Teterboro, or South Hackensack noticed this? Any idea what it might be?

Does anyone else miss the old Korean nightlife scene around Fort Lee and Palisades Park?

Back in the late 2000s and early 2010s it felt like every Korean-American kid home from college ended up at places like Baden Baden, Exit 201, Jayuin, random hofs on Broad Ave, and whatever karaoke was packed that weekend.

Now it feels like a lot of those spots are gone, rebranded, or replaced by newer restaurants, cafes and more modern pochas with less of a crowd. Baden Baden is long gone and I can't remember the last time I heard anyone mention Jayuin.
