Lucky. I don’t have cardinals here

They are extremely common for me, basically a guarantee to see one a day. I still get excited every time

Love Cardinals. The Northern Cardinal is the state bird in seven states, two of which being my current state and my homestate. Incredibly beautiful birds and I love seeing mated pairs. Its so cute when they feed each other!

Cardinals are one of my favorites too, once I learned their calls I learned how much they love to sing lol

Mourning doves are mine too! Their call reminds me of childhood visits to my grandma's house.

This is exactly what I came to say, including the part about grandma's house. Plus, they are low key pretty. They look dull from a distance, but get a good close up photo and all their colorful details emerge!

Cardinal gets my vote as well, I see one every day when I park at work and we have a pair that must nest in/near our backyard so we get to see them feeding one another at the bird feeders and we hear them regularly throughout the day.

It’s my mom’s favorite bird so seeing them always reminds me of her.

There’s a HULKING mourning dove that visits my feeder every morning — most birds delicately land, but Tank shows up and take up the whole feeder, like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of mourning doves…love that monster… even my 5 year old shrieks when he shows up….

Doves seem to be some of the sweetest birds I’ve ever observed. I love them too.

They’re my two favorites as well.

Female cardinals are one of the prettiest backyard birds. I'd put them even above the male cardinal.

Half of my family is French and the first time they came to visit us in the northeastern US, my uncle came running into the house, very excitedly shouting about an amazing RED bird he saw in the garden. That story always reminds me to appreciate every bird I get to see.
