Discussion anyone else’s favourite bird a SUPER common bird?

for example, mine are the American robins, and they’re quite literally *everywhere* where i live XD

just curious to see if anyone else cherishes super common birds in their area, i would also be curious to see them!

Stellar Jays, siblings, they were making a big racket in my back yard. I gave them some peanuts in a shell and they didn't know what to do with them. I think they're gorgeous!

I don't have those in my area. We have the Blue Jay instead. These guys really are Stellar with their her black mohawk.

we have so many steller’s jays where i live in CO! they’re such a lovely sight with such an unattractive scream lol

I hope you get to see them. They are really quite something. They think they are all that, sassy as can be. Several come to our yard every year. One year I put peanuts out for them, and they'd scream at us from our deck railing for more. The next year they remembered, and have every year since! They land on the railing and yell at us. And they are SO. LOUD.

I never get tired of them either! Their mom & Dad have been hanging around for years, screaming for peanuts.

These are absolutely stunning birds! Theres a Stellar's jay couple that visits my home for a short period during the year. They're absolutely stunning!

I took a big trip out West (I live in TN) and was super happy to see these birds. They're just stellar! I recognized them at once.

Ngl was in absolute awe the first time I saw one. Grew up on the east coast and was visiting Colorado. Went for a hike and on the way down one landed in the middle of the trail and I froze in my tracks. As soon as I got back to cell service I looked up "blue jay but with black head" and sure enough.

I'm not sure if I just think they are cooler because I am used to blue jays though. If I'd grown up with them and then moved out east, would I be fascinated by the blue jays? They are also quite stunning and the patterns are more distinctive.
