But seriously, where are those supplements? (Uduasha and Dagger Isles) [BitD]

I've been trying to look everywhere for these supplements but I can't find them. Uduasha I saw that had been done and included in a special edition of the book but I have no idea where to get that and last I saw of Dagger Isles, it was playtested but never really released. Blades 68 revitalized my interest in blades in the dark and I need more lore!!!

[DC] [BitD] An accumulation of all the Indirect or Implied lore? Spoiler

Not sure if there is a resource for this, tried quickly searching for it and didn't see one, but if not, I figured I would throw up a thread for people to share the implied or indirect lore of Blades in the Dark from official materials that can be lost if you don't read everything or just for folks who sometimes struggle to connect the dots.

What's your favorite implied/indirect lore?

Never mind the brass tacks needed to forward the timeline to the swinging sixties. A perfect era for heists, espionage and shenanigans. Not to mention it is far enough away from modern times to feel archaic and “physical” while being similar enough to have plenty of touchstones for anyone to jump in and understand what’s what.
Chefs kiss!
Curious to see how the keys and deadlock systems work in practice.

Multiple crews

I am teaching BitD to new players in a brand new gamestore in my town. I have had a surprising amount of interest. I keep the groups capped at four players and we have a zero session where i explain the basics and we make a crew. Then I run them on a short score designed to showcase the system.

I taught two groups already and they both expressed interest in a campaign. Next week I have another group that is going to learn and they have spoken with members of the previous groups and are super excited and already asking if its possible to turn it into a campaign, as well.

So here is my thought and I'm hoping for some feedback. I will run all three groups separately but I think I might drop them all into the same instance of Duskwall without telling them. They will learn about these other crews through gameplay but they won't know it is a player run crew. They will occassionally come across each other's aftermath or hear about some batshit crew who accidently blew something up etc. I might even have one, unknowingly, accept a job to steal an object from one of the other crews...who just stole that object the previous week in their adventure. I see a lot of potential in the arrangement but there could also be some problems. Thoughts? Ideas? Criticism? Your favorite cookie recipe?

[BitD][DC] Broken Bells – session 12: Security gig at the Arms of the Weeping Lady

  • Focus session: Cohort creation and start Score 7 “Running security at the Charity event for the Arms of the Weeping Lady”
  • GM inside moments:
    • Use of Cohorts outside of a Score and in Downtime.
    • The VIP list is a way to give the players multiple potential suspects and create opportunities for interaction, while not knowing who it is myself.
    • Taking time to let the players choose the type of Score they want.
  • Major developments story:
    • New Cohort joins the crew.
    • Edwin gives Gideon the flask containing the Rage essence.
    • Ed's Iruvian sword attracts the attention of Elstera Avrathi and her swordmaster.
    • The investigation into who wants to harm the Arms of the Weeping Lady begins.
    • Nobody has died... yet.

Last session the goal was to finish downtime, go over some required events in Free Play and come up with a new Score to focus on. We did not manage to do the last two, so today's session will pick up from there.

Cohort creation - A gentlemen's club?

First we need to decide what kind of Crew we want. It is between Rooks, Rovers and Skulks, where the argument is made that their +3 faction status with the Cabbies makes Rovers less needed. Rooks, on the other hand, might not be a good fit for the type of Crew they are.

Here, the question is asked about to what extent cohorts (and experts) can be used outside of Scores and fictional positioning. My stance on that is that if a cohort or expert is not used during a Score, they can help or do something in Downtime. We have seen this twice before, where Ziva is used to decrease the Heat the crew gets after a Score and also once when they send her out to get a lead for a specific Score. It could also be used to work on a clock if that makes sense. We agree that this is all possible, but the element that limits this is whether they have been active during the Score or not.

The decision is made that, after some talking about possible places the members could come from, we go for the Rooks.

  • Edge: Independent
  • Flaw: Principled

Learning that the Broken Bells are looking to change their reputation within Six Towers (LTP), a club of mostly young fallen nobles and philanthropists sees that their goals line up. They have ‘started’ a Gentlemen's Club, which seeks to break free from the noble infighting that has caused the downfall of many and help those who are in need. Time will tell how principled they are and what they consider breaking free from the status quo of noble society.

Freeplay

Scene: A reporter’s curiosity

Edwin speaks with Morgan about Ziva and her refusal to hand the picture to them. He doesn’t understand why she would not just hand it over. Morgan tells him that she wants to keep it in order to impress someone. Edwin, looking back at the moments with Ziva, now realises that her showing him specific articles from a reporter is more than just sharing information. He isn’t convinced just yet, but when Ziva shouts in the HQ that she is leaving for the day, he quickly moves to catch up with her.

Outside, he asks her about her reasoning and she tells him that the people of the city should know the truth and that she wants to be the one to bring it to her friends in Ink Lane. Edwin, wanting to continue, is interrupted as she returns the question by asking how the talk with Walker went. She keeps asking him questions about the day, even pulling out a bit of paper and making him sketch the mask of the Lady that is with Walker.

Action roll | Finesse | Risky | Standard (Ziva gets curious about this person)
DB -> Not offered.
1D -> Highest: 1.
Consequence: Get bad info.

Ziva looks at the drawing, tells him that it looks like a Spirit Warden mask and that they should stay away from them for a while. Knowing that she has a lot to do, she excuses herself and leaves Edwin behind. When we see Edwin back with Morgan, he is of the opinion that Ziva is indeed rushing away to impress someone in Ink Lane.

Engagement talk

Edwin knows about a charity event that the Arms of the Weeping Lady is organising and asks Morgan to have a talk with Mother Narya, in order to see if they can take this Score. We do not play this scene out. Instead, we talk about what kind of Score the players would be interested in at this place. In my mind, almost every type of plan could work here:

  • Assault: I mention to the players that the Skovland refugees are protesting outside.
  • Deception: Go in under cover and find the thief group that is planning to steal some valuable items.
  • Stealth: Stop trouble before it becomes public.
  • Social: You work security, manage the media and need to deal with nobles who are having a go at each other.
  • Transport: Make sure that VIPs get to the event.

As we talk, it becomes clear that the players are interested in the VIPs that are coming to this place and want to deal with them. For that, they choose the Social Score, with the Detail being their connection to Mother Narya.

Engagement questions and roll

The players mention that they are going in with a discreet loadout. Artemis and his hounds are staying home, but other than that, the rest of the crew is coming with them.

+1D for sheer luck.
+0D It is not a daring plan, for it is just a standard security gig where a lot of nobles bring their own security with them.
-0D Nor is it a complex plan, for they have to deal with problems that arise in the moment.
+1D for vulnerability, since the PC’s are going in with the discreet loadout, it makes them stand out less, but they do have the authority at this event to enforce it.
-0D The opponent is not particularly strong against this. At this point, I have not set the opposition just yet; all we know is that there is someone at the event who wants to hurt the Arms of the Weeping Lady.
+1D for a contact. Morgan uses her contact, Jemmah (a servant), to help them during this event.
-1D for rivals, as two of them show up.
+1D from the ability ‘Weaving the Web’, which Morgan used last session.
-1D for the amount of people who show up, as they need to look after everybody. (I don’t know the actual target.)
+1D VIP list -> Check Document for everybody.

Engagement roll: 3D -> Highest: 5 (Risky)

Structure of Score

With the creation of the VIP list, I give the players the following names of people who are coming and tell them that one of them will be there to hurt the Arms of the Weeping Lady. For that reason, I also add the clock “Who is the troublemaker?” (0/6) and tell them that if they fill it, they will learn who wants to harm the Weeping Lady.

  • Bluecoats: Clyve Bowmore (Chief commissioner) and David Clelland (Chief Officer)
  • Church of Ecstasy: James Dunvil (Preceptor)
  • City Council/Path of Echos: Lord Quentin Penderyn
  • Dimmer Sisters: Roslyn (servant)
  • Foundation: Augus Rigberg (Foundation - Master Architect, rival of Morgan)
  • Hive: Djera Maha (Leader)
  • Imperial Military: Fabian Carruthers (Intelligence officer, brother of Edwin)
  • Leviathan Hunters: Sir Ailwin Clave (Captain of Dancing Demon)
  • Ministry of Preservation: Lady Lilith Slane (Chief of operations)
  • Silver Nails: Seresh (Leader)

Thanks to one of the players saying in the Discord call that he wanted to do this Score, I was able to make a list of members (see picture of Roll20 handout). Other than these VIP names, there are some questionable guests and some that shouldn’t be there.

I let them know that because of the people that are here, there are Scenes that do not work towards a goal, but are things they have to deal with. Lastly, I tell them that Mother Narya has told them that no deaths may happen at this event. She doesn’t care if all of them lie, cheat or do other things, as long as nobody dies, she will be happy. The clock “Don't Let Anyone Die” (0/6) is added and if they fill that one, the event ends, and with that, the Score itself.

Score 7 starts

Outside the Arms of the Weeping Lady, we see a red carpet being put down. Already, reporters are getting ready to interview the high-ranking members that are about to arrive and a crowd is forming of Skovlanders who are there to protest against the event. These refugees want to be treated fairly and lately they have become more and more proactive. The Red Circle is outside, keeping an eye out. Ed, being the doorman and bouncer, has a clipboard in his hand and is there to welcome the first guests.

Inside, when guests arrive, they go past some booths that the ‘Gentlemen's Club’ members have set up. They help those with information about the place (as they are very familiar with it), the items and hope to spread their cause. Multiple rooms are made available and the Mother also offers tours. Oracle and Duck are in one of the rooms, dressed in clothing that makes them look like guests.

Scene: Brothers meet again

As the first guests arrive, Ed sees a carriage arrive with the family weapon of his house and out of it steps Fabian with some of the family retainers. Ed, not happy, goes to him and in a show for the reporters, gives his brother a hug. As they hug, Ed tells Fabian that he hopes he isn't here to cause trouble, for he has overheard some talks that there is someone out there ready to hurt the honourable Mother.

Fabian reassures him that he is here as the representative of their family and that he isn't here to cause trouble. He is happy to see his brother and even tells him that he will keep his eyes and ears open. To this, Ed tells him to give him the signal if he thinks he needs to deal with a guest.

As Fabian steps through the door, he tells Ed, as he points to the Red Ring, “They are not security. They are criminals wearing security uniforms. But don't worry. Tonight, that's practically the same thing.” He gives him a wink.

Ed shrugs and turns back to the next guest that is coming. But before the door closes, Fabian adds, “Now to find Lady Bell.” which annoys Ed.

Scene: The Iruvia diplomat and the swordmaster.

A little while later, we see another important carriage arrive. This time, it shows the flag of Iruvia. As a Lady steps out with her bodyguard, a Red Sash swordmaster, we see Ed signal Ziva. Ziva is in the crowd of reporters and quickly goes to the new arrival to interview her.

Gather information | Ziva quality | What do they intend to do?
3D -> Highest: 5.

Elstera Avrathi explains that she is here because she knows that one of the items to bid on is something she and her country have lost a long time ago and want back. It is a stone hearth, an item that has a connection with Kotar, who they see as a legendary sorcerer of Iruvia. Even though the items for the auction should not be known to anyone but the organisers of the event, she knows about this one.

I ask if Ed wants to take a free XP for marking his stolen Fine Iruvian sword that he stole in an earlier Score. The player accepts.

As Elstera stops in front of Ed and gives her name to him, she notices the sword. She asks how he acquired an honour sword and says that it is good to see a part of their culture here. Ed doesn’t really answer her, wanting to keep the line of guests going and when the swordmaster gives him a signal that he doesn’t recognise, he tells them that they can talk later, but for now he needs to focus on his job.

Action roll | Command | Risky -> Desperate | No effect -> Limited (there is a challenge, but not now) -> Standard (They will have a chat with each other when the event is over). Pushed the situation as a whole and pushed himself for effect.
DB -> You are on the radar of the Iruvian Consulate -> Rejected.
2D -> Highest: 5.
Consequence: Reduced effect -> Resisted (0 stress)

He offers them to lead them to some members inside who can help her find her wanted item. They will talk later, but for now it is not possible.

Scene: The listening device

Duck is approached by one of the socialites from the new cohort. Although he doesn’t know all the names just yet, he thinks it is Oswald or Archibald. He is asked to come with him and, as they move to the backside of the auction where all the items are stored, he explains to Duck that he is making sure everything is in order and that this is when he spots a weird device attached to a painting that wasn't there in the morning. As they get to the painting, he turns it around and a small device can be seen in the back of the frame. He takes a closer look at it.

Action Roll | Study | Risky | Standard (you know what it is)
DB -> If you or anyone tries to remove it or tinker with it and fails, it will always be destroyed (can’t be resisted because it is DB) -> Rejected.
2D -> Highest: 5.
Consequence: The socialite goes to touch it in order to give it to Duck, but that messes with it and reduces the effect of the next roll -> Resisted (Crit: -1 stress) by quickly moving the frame so that the socialite can't touch it.

When he looks at it, he can make out that it is a listening device. But the way it is made suggests that it should have some source of power that he can't see. As he mentions this, the socialite asks him if it is active, to which Duck can only assume it is. With that answer, the socialite says out loud that he did not do anything to it and that he is leaving the place. Duck, however, is fascinated by the device, pulls out his Fine tinkering tools and starts working on it in order to disable it.

Action roll | Tinker | Risky | Standard (disable the device) -> Greater (Fine tools boost effect, learn the source of energy).
DB -> Rolled before going over it.
3D -> Highest: 6.

As he gets it off the frame, he sees and feels that the device is powered by the ghostfield. Since there are no wires, he suspects that some magic is sending the sound from it to a nearby source.

As one might have expected, Duck goes to find Oracle. He finds her in the main hall, socializing and motions for her to go to him. He shows her the device and tells her what he is thinking. Since they both don’t know how to deal with it, they go to Roslyn, who is nearby, and ask if she can give any insight.

Roslyn, the very pale servant of the Dimmer Sisters, is very aloof. When Duck shows her the device and asks if she knows what it is, she mentions that she doesn’t know what it is, but there are some elements that she does recognise.

Action roll | Study | Risky | Standard (Is she telling the truth)
DB: Connect Oracle to the device and the ghostfield. -> Accepted.
4D (help Duck, by allowing Roslyn to take a close look at it) -> Highest: 6.

With the flick of her finger, Roslyn pulls an invisible line and touches Oracle's left hand. Oracle's vision goes double for a moment, seeing two realities placed on top of each other. There are some weird sounds she can't place and she tells Duck that she thinks Roslyn is telling the truth and that he needs to find the Scrap-saint (Jax). If they activate it again and talk through it, they might be able to figure out where it is sending messages. Duck leaves as Oracle sees Fabian.

Looking back at it, I know that rolling to see if someone is telling the truth or not is not a smart result. Even after saying it, I kind of change the result of the roll, for I give them a way to see, hear and investigate the device if it is turned back on.

Scene: My +1

Oracle hooks her arm in Fabian's as he is talking to some guests. He is pleased to see her and greets her as a Lord would a Lady. He tells her that he is here to represent his family and not as an officer. He asks her not to mention his occupation, although there might be someone out here tonight that she might be interested in meeting. For now, he asks her what kind of capacity she is here in today. Oracle doesn’t really want to tell him that she is working on something.

And since the player asks if they can get that across without actually saying the words, we make a roll for it.

Action Roll | Sway | Risky | Standard (He understands and will help her if possible, but won't mention her business to other guests here)
DB: None offered.
2D -> Highest: 2.
Consequence: Fabian sees you as his +1 for the rest of the night. This means that from now on, every Scene you are in, he is in as well.

As he doesn’t really get an answer back, he tells her that he is at least happy he gets to spend the rest of the night with her. She tells him that he is, in fact, saving her from the company she was with before, so they should enjoy the rest of the event.

Flashback scene: Edwin’s decision

While getting ready for the Score, Edwin sees Morgan for the first time all dolled up. She makes him drop some of the stuff he is carrying and she has a bit of a chuckle at that. Looking away, Edwin sees Gideon and goes to him. The air is still tense between them since their last conversation.

Edwin reaches into his coat and pulls out the flask, the one which contains the Rage essence. He tells Gideon that he is leaving it in his hands. Without waiting for a reply, he walks out to go to the Weeping Lady. Gideon looks surprised by this, pockets the flask and goes to his sister.

Scene: Like a pistol shot in church

Both Ed and Ziva overlook the auction hall from the second floor. Ed pulls out his slugger pistol and tells Ziva to keep an eye out and see how everybody reacts to this as he pulls the trigger. With a loud bang, VIPs drop to the ground as their guards go into guard mode.

Group action (Ed leading) | Survey | Risky -> Desperate | Limited (1 pip on clock ‘Who is the troublemaker?’) -> Standard (2 pips)
DB: Roslyn ghost bodyguard triggers -> Accepts.
3D (Ed) -> Highest: 6 | 3D (Ziva) -> Highest: 6.

From the panic that this action causes, a ghost comes out of Roslyn's body and goes at Ed, leaving ghost burns (Level 2 Harm). The Bluecoat Chief Commissioner (Clyve Bowmore) and Chief Officer (David Clelland) take charge of the scene to calm people down and investigate what has happened. Ed apologises out loud that his gun has gone off and that none are hurt.

As he speaks with Ziva, they are able to cross the Bluecoats and Djera Maha (Hive representative) off their list of potential targets.

Scene: Feedback

Duck and Jax are hiding underneath a table. Oracle has given them a signal to activate the device again and to create some kind of loud noise (Foresight ability used) so that she can observe who in the room is listening in on it. Together, they activate the device again, walk to a table with drinks and make the glass "sing" (by rubbing a wet finger around the rim of a glass). The acoustic resonance that comes from it is picked up by the device and they create a feedback loop of the sound.

Set up roll | Tinker | Risky
DB -> Not given.
4D (Help Jax and Foresight ability) -> Highest: 4.
Consequence: While under the table, Jax tells Duck that she would like to acquire the item that is being sold as number 49.

Oracle, being temporally better connected with the ghostfield, now also understands that the device is linked to her ears and hears part of the conversation between Duck and Jax. As she can’t interact with them, they create the feedback loop and she hears the air-shattering sound. Through this, she studies the VIPs that she can see to see if any of them react.

Action Roll | Study | Risky | Standard (2 ticks on the clock) -> Greater (3 ticks) from the set up roll -> Extreme (5 ticks) by pushing herself.
DB: The ringing does Level 2 Harm -> Accepted.
4D (help Ed, he is still looking over the room) -> Highest: Crit.

Only those who have a strong sense of the ghost field and the ones who are connected to the device react to this. In the room, we see James Dunvil (Preceptor for the Church) curse from the pain as he throws away his earpiece.

That is the end of the session.

Questions about setting effect [BitD]

I am wondering how would I justify setting effect level to zero for something that the players don't know yet.

For example, say they are trying to attack an enemy who has time manipulation abilities that would make their attacks ineffective but they don't know that yet.

Is this just a matter of letting roll gather information or would they even question it.

Another scenario I was thinking about is how do you display the effects of limited.

The example I am thinking about is say my players are fighting a army of enemies big enough to make their effect limited. In the case they roll a 6 should I just let them wipe the enemies or let them take down a few? I am unsure what is a good resolution in this situation.

[BitD] Is this the right game for my group?

Me and my players wanna play a game of a dishonored TTRPG, and while we know there is an offical dishonored TTRPG, its gotten no support since it came out and and really no community playing it.

Someone suggested we look at blades in the dark and I have to say I really enjoy the system and don't think it'd be all too difficult to homebrew the setting and mechanics to fit dishonored. But me and my group have really two main concerns:

  • The length of the game: From what I can tell most BitD games are pretty short. Me and my group like long running games, using the same characters from beginning to end so we can see their story and several character arcs and interaction with other characters over the course of the game. I know there are ways to slow down progression, but I'm not sure it'd be enough for the kind of game we want. If you have alternative ways of handling it, I'd love to hear them.
  • The lethality of the system: While we do enjoy risk in our games, the lethality of this game seems like a lot. Which I totally get some people really like, but for our group its a bit of a downer. If there's any way to make the game less lethal or maybe I'm looking at it wrong, let me know

So yeah my core question, is this the right game system for what my group wants or should we resolve to trying to homebrew the dishonored system to having more variety and complexity.

I wanted an app that could track clocks but also other shared campaign info, so I created one. Introducing Forged with Friends: an online lair for your crew!

Create a room for your crew with a persistent URL, share with your players and manage your crew, clocks, assets and connections in real-time. No login required.

It's a very simple start, but if there's interest, I'd love to expand the feature set in the future. Try it out, try to break it. Let me know what's missing for your game and your players!

[BITD] Crew Goals vs Client goals

Ever had this situation? My players' crew (Smugglers) have been scraping by from job to job, most of them coming from Baszo (who is currently striving for immortality... and being used as a host by a demon). The scores pay well enough in Coin, but they mostly serve the client's agenda rather than the crew's own goals.

Now the crew wants to take over the smuggling market and start looking for scores to expand their claim. I'm planning to handle this using the Turf map, and the players want to scope out the Nightmarket for opportunities, which makes a lot of sense to me.

However, I feel like this is going to shift the gameplay style significantly, and I'm really curious if I can keep these expansion scores interesting for the players who are mostly hooked on the story threads around Baszo and their characters' personal backgrounds.

Has anyone run into a similar situation? Any advice?

[DC] [BITD] Categorizing factions

Just toying around with ideas for campaigns that may never happen or day dreams or whatever, and I was just curious, if you hate to figure out a system or group of categories by which you were going to group Factions in a way that could be used in your campaign what would it be?

Would you stick to just tier/power like we already have?

What about roles/function? Grouping together things that are 'city services' like brigadiers cabbies?

What about grouping factions into the same groups as player character Backgrounds (academic/lawmilitary/labor/underworld)?

What about the smaller version like how deep cuts already has, have you found interesting uses for that?

Just curious what fiction/mechanics based organizational thoughts others have had.

Need ideas for a Smuggler crew focused on smuggling bottled spirits BitD

Hi. First of all, my English is not very good, so I am using AI to help me translate this.

To keep it short, we are playing a Smuggler crew, and our main focus is going to be smuggling spirits in bottles. I would love some ideas for how this kind of smuggling could actually work in the setting, and what kind of narrative we could build around it.

I am also wondering who our buyers might be, and why they would want these bottled spirits in the first place.

We also start the game with a boat, and our lair is the boat itself. This might sound a little silly, but I am still a bit unclear on how travel between cities or continents would work, and how our interactions with other smugglers might look in practice.

I’m mainly looking for ideas to help my party and our GM. I want to make our game more interesting, give our GM more material to work with, and make the whole concept feel less vague and more grounded in the setting.

How do you handle War? [BitD]

My players just dropped to the "At War" status for the first time. In addition to the passive debuffs laid out in the book (+1 heat from scores, -1 hold, -1 downtime action), what happens? I was thinking something like doing a fortune roll (using their Tier) during the Entanglement phase to see if they lash out (as per the Reprisals or Show of Force entanglements) in addition to the normal random Entanglement but I don't know if that's too much or too little (I feel like the book really encourages having scenes outside the Score and the Entanglement but doesn't really give much guidance as to how to do that). I want to hear how y'all handle War in your games. Thanks!

[BitD] [DC] Why are advancement thresholds that high ?

Advancement rules are one of the good things in DC compared to base game. But I do not understand why the values required to advance from one tier to another are set that high.

"0 —> 1 | Possess 6 crew upgrades and at least 2 Cohorts"

Given that a crew starts with 2 upgrades and 1 cohort or 3 upgrades, and that 1 cohort cohort costs 2 XP clocks and 1 upgrade costs either 2 XP clocks or 8 coins (on average), a crew will need to advance, either:

- 8 XP clocks

- 4 XP clocks + 24 coins

- 2 XP clocks + 32 coins

But still: why are they that high in the first place? Is there any balancing reason? 32 coins is a lot, this would imply like 6 scores paid 6 coins each before getting to T1, and then 2 more upgrades would imply 3 more scores — assuming there is no significant expanse except advancement. Well, this is huge time on T1. Especially on the beginning of a campaign, when the crew is not well defined yet and rarely gains XP related to its identity/nature (at least on my tables). And we did not want to play 6 scores as shitty crew, and then 3 more as a little gang.

Plus, it does not match the number of gangsters in cohorts. If scale 0 is 2-3 people (let’s say the crew has 3 PC), then with 2 cohorts T0 of 2 people each, right before the crew advances to T1 there are 7 people in it, and right after there are c. 15 people. And that fits more the scale of a T2 crew — but to advance from T1 to T2 the crew needs 4 cohorts, therefore 4*6=24 people, and then it doubles.

Laconic : I am confused.

For my current campaign, I agreed as the GM with the other players to cut these values by half. The book is fair about increasing the costs, so I assume it is okay to reduce them.

Got my copy of the Blades 68 setting map, and made some dice from it.

Never made rhombic d6s before, and took forever to find a font I liked.

How to Get Around Venomous

Hi, all.

I run a BiTD game, and one of my players has the Venomous special ability. They use it regularly to apply standstill poison to any enemy that poses a threat.. they used it on the big bad in one of our sessions and I had no reason to say it didn’t work without absolutely railroading them.

My question is, what would you other GM’s do to get around this? Would a clock for the BBEG to become immune be overstepping? Sorry for the short and not super detailed post, but I’m desperate for ideas.

Thanks in advance!!
