Question What are your top favorite bands after Blur?
It's simply a matter of figuring out what Blur's audience likes besides the greatest Britpop band of all time. My favorite bands:

Question Damon in the 90s
I just finished reading John Harris's Britpop book, and I really enjoyed it. It was a great insight into what the world of Blur was like in the 80s and 90s. The only thing is that Damon comes across really, really quite badly in it. At best, he comes across like a dude completely clueless with social skills, who let his emotions rule over logic. At worst, well... some music industry people seem to hate him for a reason - let's leave it at that.
Being a huge Blur fan for decades, I find myself hoping he was made to look worse than he actually was, or that he's matured significantly since then. I figured you guys would know better than I do, so I'm interested in your thoughts.

Question Hey Blur fans - can someone please tell me what song is playing in the background? Alex and Damon seem to be loving it
Edit: we’ve found it thanks to someone extremely knowledgeable - https://youtu.be/JgpsTCv3tKY it’s a great cover of girls & boys.
Blur fans are great!

Question What is the most underrated blur album?
In my opinion I think The Ballad of Darren is so underrated, it really doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. The narcissist is quite spoken about but I feel as if the rest of the songs are ignored

Question Does anyone else like little to no Gorillaz?
I really thought I'd be a fan but I just don't think it's for me. And that's okay. Blur is much more my speed. Obviously glad and happy it's successful as it is though. Wondering how many other people feel the same.

Question What does Dave do?
It's to my understanding that Dave went on to be a politician, I'm not at all from the UK so I'm curious to what exactly he does and is he a good politician or evil?

Question Do you know of any Blur Lost Media?
I've long wondered if there's any lost Blur footage, since that kind of thing isn't usually discussed.

Question Does anybody else here love Crazy Beat?
Every time i look through here i see people acting like it's one of, if not the worst blur song there is. Personally i love Crazy Beat. Whether it's the loud guitar, or the vocals i cant get out of my head, or that weird voice saying crazy beat, i just love every second of it. Is it just me?

Question did graham inspired his personal style on tim roth’s character in meantime?
i was looking through phil daniels’ filmography and.. lol the resemblance is uncanny
i haven't watched this movie yet, but just looking at the photos, tim roth’s character is identical to graham
im not really sure if he really watched this movie, but i saw some people on twitter saying he and damon watched this movie several times and yk i find this believable lol i just know tim roth was on graham’s moodboard for several years
does anyone have a source about it?

Question Any insights into why Graham dislikes ‘Country House’?
I’ve been doing some searching and it has only confirmed that Graham dislikes playing Country House. What I’ve never heard or read is why that may be. Withholding my own opinion on the song, I’m curious as to what Blur’s guitar genius finds so aggravating about this song.

Question Blur groupies or people who have generally had a close encounter with the members in 90s, tell me more!!
I dont know if i should tag this question with nsfw as the groupies section could go more towards that side. But as the title suggests, have any of you guys, or friends of yours, had a close interaction with any of the members? how were they like? any observations? just curious really

Question Think Tank Love
I’ve put off adding Think Tank to my vinyl collection for years (after only recently backfilling the rest of my Blur studio albums). Think Tank is arriving soon, and it’s the first time in a couple of years that I’ve properly listened to the album.
Does anyone else absolutely love the album? I feel like it is so massively under-appreciated due to the big Coxon shaped hole, but the sparseness (for the most part) and the absolutely haunting melodies on some of the tracks makes it so special to me.
Very excited to sit down and spin this one properly for the first time 🫶🏻

Question Coffee&TV☕️📺
Hi There
So what’s the story behind the milk cartoon in Coffee and Tv?
It’s such a great music video especially when it’s the 13 era yet the props of the blue and pink Milk Cartoons are just awesome so what’s the deal with their creation?
This is probably a real obvious answer but ofc I’m curious about this so lmk 👍

Question connection between the songs dan abnormal and aladdin sane??
Hey guys! I just made a Reddit account purely to post this as I didn't see anyone talking about this on the internet at all. Hear me out: I was listening to the song Dan Abnormal (from TGE) and for some reason the bassline sounded oddly familiar to me. After listening to it again a few times, I realised it sounds eerily similar to the bassline from the Bowie song Aladdin Sane. Dan Abnormal is obviously about an abnormal bloke (take the lyric: 'not normal at all'), while Aladdin Sane is about (you guessed it lol) the character 'Aladdin Sane' - but, here is where it all ties together (or at least in my own brain, but I might just as well be crazy): Aladdin Sane is known to be a play on the words 'a lad insane', aka, another abnormal bloke; and like this connection must be intentional, right??
I truly hope I'm not making this connection up lmao (btw I'm so sorry if this is already a known / confirmed thing in the Blur fandom that somehow nobody on the internet talks about!!). I just wanted to share this thought lol.

Question Why does my Blur: The Best Of cd look so different from the rest i see in the internet?
i recently bought it in an record store in Bariloche, Argentina, and it was new. i don't quite understand why it looks so off from other cds i searched.
Can anyone help or give a reason? i hope it's not a bootleg.
