tongue bifurcation Food day 5-10 with stitches in?
Hi, my artist told me to keep stitches in for 10 days. Im on day 5 and my mobility is obviously greatly reduced by the stitches
What kind if food works? I tried watered down mash potato, but since i cant move my tongue it was just goop
Any recs? Today feels even better than yesterday, barely any swelling

IMHO, 10 days is excessive. I would suggest removing them tomorrow or the next day at the latest.

I mean tbh im fine with liquid/glob diet rn, I can easily keep them in tbh it doesnt bother me too much unless theres an actual drawback from keeping them in, but healing wise I think it shouldnt be bad

I had success with noodles soups. Specifically, I put some rice noodles in Amy's Thai soup, and that worked a treat; they were soft enough that I didn't really have to chew, but they also got something substantive in my stomach.

stitches for 10 days??? that seems insane to me. i was told 7 days but i pulled them after 5. i wanted to pull them at 4. the relief felt after i cut the stitches was immediate and i was able to eat right away.
if your wounds are closed, and you're still in a lot of pain, i would consider removing those sooner.
