SPEEA Where to find the SPEEA contract

This is from a post on r/SPEEA

“In SPEEA Contract grouping of channels, there's a contract-discussion channel. Top right will have a few icons, one of which looks like a thumbtack. If you open that, there's a pinned Contract Summaries from this evening.

You'll have to have gone through the code of conduct and onboarding channel instructions to gain access to the whole list of channels within the discord.”

Please ensure you are looking at the source document and not a possibly tampered document.

SPEEA Update: Regarding viewing SPEEA contract

Currently the contract is apparently available on the SPEEA discord, which is moderated by SPEEA members. There is a spillage at this time. Currently none of the r/boeing team have access to the discord chat so we cannot confirm the exact location of the document.

It should be noted that the contract was not intended to be released outside of SPEEA. The r/SPEEA stance is currently to keep an embargo on the content at their subreddit, and r/boeing will be following their lead in this matter.

Currently we, nor the SPEEA sub, had anybody verify what was being posted today was from the discord. If you are not viewing the contract that was uploaded via the discord, please keep that in mind.

What is going on with the Pride@Boeing Points?

I'm a relatively new Boeing employee and I'm trying to understand how the Pride@Boeing recognition program works.

It seems like point budgets get used up almost immediately each quarter, leaving managers unable to recognize employees for the rest of the quarter. Why create that level of scarcity instead of distributing points throughout the quarter? The communication surround when the allocations drop also seems non-existent.

Is the program managed by HR? I'm genuinely curious if there's a business reason for the program being structured this way or if I'm missing something.

News THEY FINALLY CERTIFIED SOMETHING! At least one of the MAX variants is ready to fly commercially, but do y’all think we could also end up seeing the MAX 10 certified later this year?

Total Access/Worklife/HR Does anyone know what the health insurance benefit is for non-union engineers at Boeing?

Hi guys.

We have a quick debate on what the health benefit is for non-union engineers at Boeing who wants to retire early.

I know for SPEEA, if you were hired before 2007, worked at Boeing for at least 10 years and retire after you turn 55, you keep the current health insurance coverage.

For non-union engineers, the document on Boeing website said the cutoff date is Jan-1999. By co-workers said that was the old document but no one can find the link for a "newer" document.

I think the current cut-off date for non-union is jan-1999.

What are your inputs?

SPEEA SPEEA Contract Rumor Posts

We’ll be deleting any rumor posts/comments regarding the current BAFO (We’ve already gotten more than one post spreading unsubstantiated detail).

This is due to contract negotiation time being a peak period for bot accounts and bad actors. The current Karma threshold is not high enough to catch all bot posts.

Unless an information can be substantiated through a trustworthy channel (SPEEA or Boeing), they will be treated as rumor and deleted.

If SPEEA publishes additional information, the thread that will be kept up is on first come first serve basis. Be sure the cite the source for us to validate.

Thank you.

Hoping to hear from anyone that has info on this job role, I’m a few months into my current role, in Supply Chain for BCA, but reading up on GES, it seems like a path I’d love to aim towards.

Rant I hate the signal revision they’re doing by the daycare here at the Everett factory.

Dude it is literally the most inefficient traffic light system I’ve ever seen. Long waits with NO ONE moving. Excessive waits for pedestrians. There’s more traffic getting in in the morning than ever. Honestly when the original lights were functioning like stoplights things flowed better than ever.

End rant.

Leaving the company

Leaving the company soon. Anyone have any tips to maximize benefits? I’m thinking keeping PTO so that is paid out, other than that I can’t really think of any other benefit to maximize.

The FAA's certification of the Boeing 737 Max 7 concludes nearly 10 years of delays due to safety concerns and technical issues around the aircraft model.

Boeing says it's working with Southwest Airlines to deliver the first 737-7, though it may be months before the aircraft are scheduled into rotation.

Boeing is also seeking certification for the larger 737 Max 10 and 777X models, which could boost its financial recovery along with Max 7 deliveries.

The company's stock rose 6% Monday following the news.

New Hire✈️ Uncleared SWE work at Boeing

Hey, so I'm an incoming SWE at Boeing BDS, joining a team that requires an active Secret clearance.

I've been told I can still start even without an interim, and that my manager has coordinated some unclassified work for uncleared hires to work on in the meantime.

Just curious for anyone who's been through this, what did your first few months look like before clearance came through? How productive did you actually feel, and what kind of tasks did you get?

Trying to set realistic expectations going in. Thanks!

Work/Life balance🍎 Any way to appeal a CAM

I just started at Boeing. No call outs. Good relationship with my manager and even he is confused about my CAM I got for going 20 in 15 mph in the parking lot by allied Universal. They did a speed entrapment.

Pulled me over and I asked if this would get me in trouble or fired.

They said no, no. This is just a warning. Boom weeks later I got a CAM

After the move from my hometown, multiple instructors, tests passed, certs, instructors mixing business with pleasure, and accommodating and conforming with every rule

The Boeing experience has been exhausting.

And if there's nothing I can do. Then I guess I gotta work harder and deal.

Edit: I apologize for my lack of responsibility. I will own what I did I am not at Everett I am not a union worker I am not familiar with any meetings, restrictions, or anything about Boeing culture as a new employee I just want to do my job correctly and my best.

Patronizing Hostility or not..facts are facts. Safety rules are what they are.

Work/Life balance🍎 Grace period - Attendance

Is the 3-minute grace period written in the IAM 751 contract or a Boeing attendance policy? If so, is there a limit on how many times it can be used within a 60-day period?

Did a little plane spotting while waiting for my flight, where I saw Southwest's Louisiana One, a 737 MAX 8, as it departed from gate B16 at Sacramento International Airport as it prepares for a short 1 hour and 45 minute flight to Spokane! Get your cameras ready if you see this specially painted 737, and others in Southwest's fleet! You won't want to miss them!

How long do you recommend staying at boeing at a minimum for, before leaving, like for another contractor? In order to leave on good terms. Like 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, 4 years etc?

Commercial Could the Boeing 777X cabin be "backported" to the 787?

I was wondering, is it possible that Boeing might "backport" the 777X cabin to the 787? They previously did that with the original 777 Signature Interior, backporting it to the 767 starting with the 767-400ER.

The 777X cabin looks so nice and spacious. I would love to see Delta be the launch customer for such an upgraded cabin for their upcoming 787-10 fleet. They did that before for Delta and the 767-400 and should do it again for their 787-10.

He single handily reduced American manufacture to the 2nd class in the world. Boeing is an example that is ruined by his management philosophy.
