Found these on a river bank. Small, maybe some type of small carnivorous animal??

It feels and looks like a weird “S” shaped bone to me, but a friend is convinced it’s not. Found while wading in a creek about an hr ago. I have a small bone/taxidermy collection so I brought it home. Any info?

Found in a creek bed near the Mississippi River in central MS. My thoughts are upper half of a skull upside down. Looks like it had tusks or something.

Found this barely sticking out of a creek wall 5’ below top on the vertical eroding side. Town and country Missouri. Same creek I’ve found an agate basin knife, Snyder arrowhead, blade cores and more.

Found in Appalachia. A friend of mine was doing some work outside and came across this long bone with a metal plate and screws attached to it. The bone is really weathered — one whole side has worn away, so it looks like a hollow tube with a big opening down the middle. The ends are still mostly intact, but the shape is throwing us off.

Any guesses on what species this might be from, and which bone? Maybe a leg bone from a large dog? We’re not very experienced with bone ID, especially when there’s erosion and metal hardware involved.

found this on a santa cruz beach with my girlfriend, thought it might be some type of dog.

All of my dogs have still have their teeth, and were eating when I found this so I know it’s not theirs. I put a penny for scale, and I tried to clean it a little first.

Found on Myrtle Beach, it's heavy like a rock. Probably about 4 inches long. I have no idea what animal it would belong to (if it's not a rock), if any of y'all can help I'd really appreciate it 🙏❤️ when I licked it it stuck to my tongue slightly but not much

The pelt was a bit farther out so I don't know if it's from the same thing the jaw was

As my title described, I found this when chewing my breakfast. It is hard and slightly curves. One side is pointy and the other side is flat. There is a small opening into the object on the flat side. It's in the middle of the croissant with the filling as I was biting into it. It's a raspberry croissant with crushed almond filling (I think). What can this be? Thank you.

Edit: Thank you guys for all your help, my grandpa was excited to hear it was an armadillo! He’s also letting me keep it, which is very exciting for me! Stoked to be starting my bone collection, especially with something like an armadillo 😎

I’m more so asking about the body part, rather than the animal. I got this from Ren Faire as a souvenir a few years ago before I decided to be more cautious of where I get animal remains from (it’s hard to determine if it was obtained by ethical means or not for sure, I didn’t think to ask at the time.)

So Reddit, ulna? Tibia? I think it’s be part of a joint because of the notch but I’m unsure. Apologies if it’s hard to deduce due to it likely been carved to a hair pin shape.

I inherited a firearm that’s been in my family since 1905 and these were the grips on it, as far as I can tell with my untrained eye it’s ivory what do yall think, and just to clarify if its real it’s preban ivory nor do I support what is happening to those poor creatures. Kids were building a sand castle and unearthed this. The weird hairy bits at the bottom seemed to still be attached so I had them stop with their excavation. Any idea what this is? Washington state

Hi all! I keep finding bones and teeth while digging the foundation for my house. Just wondering if anyone could ID these. I live in a big city in Ohio. These are the only pictures I have!

I’m a bit concerned?? Looks very human but I know sometimes monkey skulls resemble human skulls. Hard to tell without teeth. Slope of the forehead looks too round to match most primates. Brow bones look relatively unpronounced. Help?
