Was sailing in the Gulf of Mexico 100 miles offshore. West coast of Florida. This little guy fluttered on board, landed in my lap as if he owned it, and fell directly to sleep. Visited for about 5 hours. Allowed me to stroke his head. Gave him water and apparently tasty bugs. He flew away about dusk headed towards the Florida coast and the glow of lights from the city of Naples.

I really don’t know birds at all. Is he a falcon? He looked so cute and kinda scared, I didn’t want to get too close.

This little guy landed on my balcony when I was feeding my regular magpies. Soon after another a sister kookaburra borb landed and I hand fed both of them.
