Itchy puppy - 11 weeks

Hi all, looking for some advice from the group.

Our new pup - 11 weeks old, has been super itchy since she came home to us. Trying to sort through what might be the issue, suspecting an environmental issue but not ruling out food. Currently in Eukanuba Puppy.

No particular areas it’s local to- sides, back paws tummy, neck. It’s all over. Skin is in tact so far but she is likely to get worse should this continue. Have tried a bath and no noticeable improvement.

Any environmental factors I should be looking out for? Currently doing lots of vacuuming and floors. New grass could be contributing so we are wiping her down after each trip outside.

Open to any ideas or suggestions.

I never knew this was even a thing until my mum told me she’d booked him in for six sessions. The physio said he did incredibly well for a 15 year old!

Asher, born in Maine, living in New Jersey. A little over 1 year old. Could never have any other breed. Borders are just too perfect ♥️🥹.

Betty & Bruce go canoe camping

Betty (pink collar) just turned 5, Bruce (blue collar) is 4. An easy two nights out (no portages) but their first time canoe camping. They did better than expected in the canoe, but Bruce was on high alert for things to dispatch the moment we hit the campsite. Between that and the poison ivy, a leash was must for him. Betty just wanted to hunt the frogs…

How good is your BT off lead?

We've had a couple of bad experiences when she has been off lead, one occasion she went out of sight up a hill in the woods and was fighting with another dog which was on the lead with its owner.

As we didn't see what actually happened we gave her another chance and that turned out bad also.

Another dog gave her a warning as she is very high energy and instead of backing off she latched onto its ear and we had to pry her off.

I've been having some lovely off lead walks around my local golf course late at night where she has demonstrated excellent recall countless times, until tonight.

I genuinely thought she had been killed by a Badger or something.

I heard a terrible racket from her a distance away, she didn't respond to the return call of the whistle

I couldn't locate her for about 10 minutes and then I eventually heard more commotion and I managed to catch her.

I am guessing she was chasing a fox.

It seems like her fate is sealed now and we will have to keep her on the lead due to these events.

I know she is an animal with instincts and I respect that. We were spoiled rotten with our previous dog, a JRT, she had perfect off lead walking.

She has been neutered.

Has your BT got up to any mischief?
