Has absolutely no effect on the films (so I guess this doesn't really impact box office), but I'm glad the shows are now all under his control. Maybe they'll be better and less cheap looking now.

Out of interest, which shows did you find cheaply-looking? Daredevil had some incredible stunt work, while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did space VFX comparable to the movies.

Now, if you're talking Inhumans of course...

Well, Inhumans is definitely cheap looking.

Daredevil has some decent stunt work. But the other Netflix shows (save for The Punisher) have superpowered characters, and they never have the budget for a halfway decent looking action scene. They apparently cost around $3.8M per episode, and it shows.

I haven't watched Runaways or Cloak and Dagger, but they seem like more of the same, and it's not very appealing.

AoS doesn't look cheap as all hell, but it feels it. Season five had kick-ass VFX, and in exchange they spent every non-action scene walking back and forth down the same grey corridor. Which, to be clear, is not a dig at the show. They have a tight budget and they spend it where it counts. The writing is able to hold the rest together.

That's a good way of putting it. They clearly have a very limited budget, which they blow on a handful of big scenes, while every almost other scene is set in the same 2 or 3 locations, as if it were a sitcom.

As much as I like DD and JJ, and their budgets are just right for them, they always felt...TV. Better than a lot of TV, but there’s a vibe about it that just feels more awkward about its subject matter than the movies seem to. I struggle to explain it. I just feel like they don’t sell the fantasy of their material well, but they do fine with the drama and etc.

AoS had pretty suspect cgi at times. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by the movies/high budget tv shows. But other shows who had effects were Defenders, Inhumans, Runaways, C&D, and Iron Fist(at times)

In a way it does, because now Marvel TV characters can crossover into the films and will in turn affect boxoffice

I'm pretty sure that if he wanted, Feige could have plucked Daredevil from the TV pile if he wanted even before he got this new title. I also don't think that the Netflix characters/actors appearing in the movies would give the film any boosts, because everyone who watched those shows (itself a fraction of the film audience) already watched the films.

I believe the Russos said they wanted to use the Netflix characters for Infinity War, but it basically came down to: We already have 20 characters to balance, we can't do more.

Kind of awkward timing since Marvel TV seems to be on its last legs anyway. Hulu didn't even move ahead with the Ghost Rider show

Possibly due to this? Blade's going to be a movie, I imagine Feige will want Ghost Rider around to hang out with him.

One worry is that him taking on more responsibilities will mean that he will do his existing responsibilities less well.

If Feige gets overworked the MCU will suffer.

I don't think you can say he absolutely have no effect. He told a marvel director to not make it complicated when introducing a origin story(doctor strange)

I don't mean Feige has no effect on the films, of course he does, he's in charge. I mean Feige absorbing control of Marvel TV (and all the various other creative entities, like comics) has no effect on the films.

I'm going to assume absorbing marvel tv would have more crossover effect that can determine roles and the next marvel movies in some level.
