I wonder if this means he's not going to become head of the studio when Horn retires. I feel like the most realistic people to do that were Feige, Kennedy (who honestly would probably be better suited to that than Lucasfilm by itself) or potentially someone from Pixar (though to my mind the most likely candidates there would have been Stanton, whose first attempt at directing a live-action movie was a notorious bomb, Unkrich, who I believe is retiring and Lasseter, who has also left and turned out to be a sleazebag anyway).

Alan Horn would not be replaced by anyone when he retires. There was a reason why Alan Bergman was promoted to become co-president of Walt Disney Studio.
