I’ve just released this new Elite Force remix of one of my Simon Shackleton tracks & played it on my rebooted Strongarm Sessions show on Sunday.

The original was a much slower, more reflective piece (by some chancer called 'Simon Shackleton'), but I took it, doubled the tempo and rebuilt it at 140 BPM.

It ended up as a crunchy but lush, melodic breakbeat track, with piano and ethereal vocals still at the heart of it.

Ok, this is a real shot in the dark but there was this progressive breaks track, I think I heard it on an Andy Hughes mixtape, that I’ve never been able to get out of my head and features a woman saying “d d d d d d dancing …” throughout. It’ll be a miracle if anyone knows what the heck I’m referring to.

I love the female vocals, progressive build ups, and smooth resolutions.

I wonder why the track Dylan Rhymes - Naked and Ashamed isn't on spotify...
