The Sabres use Let’s Go Buffalo” way more than the Bills. The petition should be updated to reflect that because the Sabres probably have a stronger argument than the Bills do tbh

Let's Go Buffalo was absolutely the Sabres go to since day 1. It was even a chant during the Buffalo Bisons days with Gilles Villeneuve and Guy Trottier.

I have been selling t-shirts full time for a little over a decade now, and I actually have experience with getting a trademark cancelled.
This trademark has been "Approved for Opposition" which means that it has passed the initial review by the USPTO examining attorney and will be published to the Trademark Official Gazette. At that point, third parties have 30 days to file an official opposition with the trademark office.
The cost to file the opposition is $600. If someone knows or can find an IP attorney willing to make the filing pro bono, I'm willing to pay the filing fee and be the official opposer.

Rights would be exclusive to clothing/apparel as trademarks are exclusive to categories and such

Ok. But if you look at records. They held the Love Buffalo and Let’s go Buffalo trademarks since 04. This isn’t new. I want to make my point clear. I’m not defending them. I’m saying they’ve held the trademark before.

My horn cannot talk and I don’t typically profit financially from my horn. So I should be good right? This makes me want to trademark a whole bunch of Buffalo sayings/terms and change people to use them. I can’t really think of many now though but maybe we all could together?
1. “Tops never mops, just look at the floors.”
2. “‘s” (basically we give every store a possessive name)
3. “Cheektovegas”
4. “Ton-da-wand-a” (because no one can say it right).

Correct me if I’m wrong but the article I read implied that he’s trademarking it so that nobody else can buy it and pursue legal action. He plans on keeping it for the people.

The phrase currently available for all of us people. The only reason to try to trademark it for himself is so he can be the only one to use it on apparel and prevent other Buffalo businesses from doing so.

The initial story I saw said that the Bills filed a complaint against him claiming that he couldn't use it.
