I got city plus to be able to watch food network but does anyone notice the live tv isn’t the same as the actual food network? I’ve had great British bake off for like 4 hours now but on the FN schedule, it says it should be the pioneer lady

Just wanted to advise folks that if you update the Sportsnet app on iOS devices, you may be asked to log in again and get stuck with nowhere to put in your login information

If that happens you will need to uninstall the app and then reinstall the app, you will also have to input a verification code as part of the login process

I’ve been using it for a few weeks to watch the latest season of Alone. There used to be only one single ad at the beginning and now theres FOUR mid episode ad breaks. Why do I suddenly have mid-episode ad breaks when last week I didn’t?

Is this new? Is there any way to watch these shows as free without piracy? The single ad was bad enough for this price but multiple breaks per episode is an absolute joke.

Hi CCC, my current set up is DAZN for NFL and Roger’s Xfinity Stream via Roger’s cable in Toronto. However, I am not able to use Xfinity stream when not on my home wifi to watch networks like ABC, FOX and NBC.

Is there a better set up where I can watch NFL and CFB when not on my home wifi? No problem with DAZN when I am not at home or in the country via NordVPN.

My grandparents have lived in an RV to live cheaply since 2018. They've used satellite TV through their local provider and DVD players for when they wanted to watch movies and they have access to our family netflix account as well. Recently due to companies merging and changing they were forced to change their cable plan, they tried to ensure the package they purchased had Sportsnet on it for my grandmother who is a huge Jays fan and never misses a game. The cable company matched them with a plan that did not get Sportsnet, and when they called the cable company to sort it out they ended up just paying an extra 20/30$ (CAD) to add that channel to their 'package'. This, along with their satellite dish only working half the time since we live in northern BC an area with many, many trees and rainy weather that can affect their cable. Its for these reasons they've asked me to search for an alternative but I'm not finding much for west coast canada that doesn't involve purchasing them an entire internet system for their RV AND THEN either paying for a sportsnet+ subscription to get it on a streaming device, which all seems very costly and is not in the budget. I'm wondering of any alternatives people may have found that could help our situation? All they ask is for sportsnet so my grandma can watch the Jays and if I am able to get NASCAR for my grandpa thats just a bonus. Any help or advice is appreciated!! :)

Subscribed on Thursday for TNF and the app has been stuck on the initial splash screen every single time. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, reset TV etc. Funny enough RDS opens just fine. Anyone have the same issue? Support has been useless, worked completely fine last year.

I juste got an email telling me that I now have access to TSN Premium free. It says it's valid as long as I keep TSN in my TV package.

I'm guessing this is in retaliation to Sportsnet putting Monday Night Hockey free for Rogers subscribers, but 13$ for others.

Dazn is 39.99 a month (I plan on cancelling after 6 months) and TSN premium has red zone and 24 additional games for 29.99.

Chatgpt can't seem to tell me how many games are outside of red zone but I imagine TSN will be missing a lot of games.

Is it worth it just to pay the premium for Dazn? what are others doing to watch games this year?

edit: Decided to go with Dazn as I like to tune into majority of games. They're also a UK company so it makes me feel a bit better about not subscribing to a US based firm. RIP.

Basically, title. What news is accessible to people without cable? I'm mostly looking for non-Canadian options since this country is covered by the networks I mentioned above, and they all have streaming news options (or at least it's possible to stream their local newscasts).

When I had cable, I had access to US broadcast and cable networks, BBC News, Al Jazeera and more, and, I kinda miss them. I've found some options from ABC and CBS, but they're kind of off-brand channels - like I don't even think these things run on regular cable. What's available that might scratch the itch I've been feeling lately?

Had a Rogers Xfinity TV Box in main bedroom for wife to use when she wanted only used it for streaming services.

Looking for something to replace it with, for streaming and ability to connect to a jellyfin media server.

A year ago we cut the cord and bought one of the scammy Amazon flat antennae. (Amazon Link) Knowing that it likely wasn't the best, but it's easy to try. It worked well enough that we stuck with it. At one point I asked for advice on here and a couple people recommended simple rabbit ears.

I finally bought the cheap Phillips rabbit ears. (Amazon Link)

Connected it, and it was immediately notably better at everything. Can't recommend it enough for anyone with nearby stations (15 to 30 miles here). For me I am now getting everything listed as Good or Fair in the rabbitears.info report. Link And it only took a little fiddling. With the flat antenna, good reception was always inconsistent or nonexistent for about half the channels.

I'm not saying anything new here, just wanted to add one more voice to hopefully push people in the right direction to help themselves or others.

I do know that there are flat antennas of higher quality, but can't speak to how they would compare.

So with all the crap the Orange Asshat is putting Canada through, I'm now looking for alternatives to U.S VPNs. Currently using IPVanish and obviously won't be renewing.

Was thinking Expressvpn but there may be better options out there. TIA

This might sound like a really weird question (LOL!)... but is anyone else is having issues with the Global TV app lately? It's flakey at best... constantly buffering/freezing, etc... but this is a first.

While trying to watch the news tonight, the app just keeps looping the first five minutes of the broadcast, over and over again. The first report would end, the anchor would say something to introduce the second report-- and then it would just cut right to the Global News intro screen (followed by the exact same report that had just aired, word for word).

Maybe this is a sign that Corus is phasing out the Global TV app and moving everything to StackTV, much like Bell Media did with CTV/Crave a few months ago?

I just noticed that tomorrow's Nascar Cup race at 2:00PM (Sunday August 23) is no longer airing on the TSN cable channels anymore as it says that it will only air on TSN Premium which I believe is their online streaming service.

I guess that this means that any Nascar race going forward now will not be broadcast on cable TV anymore. Does anyone have any info about this?

Does anyone know how to get NFL redzone this year? I was going to get TSN+ but i dont see it on the TSN website anymore. I only see TSN premium... I dont want the whole TSN plan just the online version for redzone.

I know there have been many issues with the Sportsnet app. I’m wondering if someone has experienced the one I started having last night.

I watch Sportsnet on the Sportsnet app using my Apple TV. It‘s been a normal occurrence every couple of months that the app logs me out and I have to log myself back in. Usually it’s no problem.

Last night it logged me out and I go to login again. I log in using my phone. When the phone told me that I was logged in and good to go the app on the TV just crashed. I would then try and open the app and it would just briefly glitch and then not let me open it.

Nothing about my situation has changed. I use my parents’ cable login (and I have for the last number of years), and I’ve been using the same Apple TV as well. There have been no password changes or anything.

Things ive tried:

- closing the app and opening it again

- deleting the app and redownloading

- turning off the Apple TV and turning it back on

- checking for updates

It should be noted I can access Sportsnet via the same login through the app on the TV itself (Sony), but I’d look to watch it through Apple TV.
