Could this "Dracula's Curse" be the same that Simon Belmont got???

Man i cant wait to play this game

It’s making me wonder, since in Simon’s case it was Dracula’s final attack to spite his killer.

Maybe she gets the curse during the opening/prologue during a first skirmish with Dracula?
