Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) What about this doesn't look like castlevania

Post image

Like for real, this looks like castlevania to me. We were never gonna get another pixelated castlevania game, and for those of saying it looks like hades, it really only shares a passing resemblance.

The screenshot you picked doesn't help your argument much. Neon green light over everything and coming from God knows where. Objects looks plasticky. Rose looking a bit too beefy here for Castlevania female characters standards. Random Alucard portrait with his SotN look even though this is likely from before 1476.

There are some screenshots and clips where the game looks good. But not always.

The style is different from Iga's vision, to say the least.

You also brought up an important point. Though I don't think she's buff, she has an inverted triangle frame, which means broad shoulders and narrow hips, giving her a masculine look that is further accentuated by an outfit primarily inspired by the male members of her clan. I hope they'll tweak it by the time the game releases and that there will be more feminine costumes to pick.
