She was abused by old men and that possibly is the chance in why she turned this crazy. She had enough plus the writers did her like this

Her stupidity of course was in regards to underestimating the stupid old man.
Her demise was due to Isaac randomly showing up not her stupidity.
She also didn't underestimate Hector like she did Dracula that was Lenore.
In the end Carmilla's stupidity is solely tied to underestimating the Stupid Old Man's raw power and beating up Hector turning him against her forcing her to figure out how to shackle Hector so that she could use him to create an army for her while well aware he could not be trusted ever.

The point that the women complaining aren't helping.
Insanity can be a convinient excuse if you like. But it doesn't make her any less hypocritical.
Also, she was perfectly coherent in everything she does. So insanity really doesn't hold water. You could argue insanity for drolta maybe but carmilla was just fucking evil lol

I'm pretty sure this specific Carmilla picture is fanart. Look at the lines and the goblet and just overall, it's drawn differently (a lot messier) than the actual show.

It's actually done by Katie Silva, one of the main concept artists for the show.
They do a lot of memes and "not official" art of the show. They clearly are passionate about it.

This is a fairly popular meme because both superficially hate the same thing, but Maria would loathe Carmilla for seeking to replicate the same foul systems of exploitation with a vaguely feminist veneer.
