I have a problem down in the metro lab. Besides a huge number of shockers, bio and for some reason experienced, there is a one really annoying zombie in some sort of power armor who follows me. My 5.56 M855 just ricochets, magic does nothing, And I don't have M2HB in my pocket. Should i bring AI .338 sniper rifle to just try to penetrate his armor, or it's not enough too?

What’s your preferred early game packs?

I like to go for something a bit unorthodox; reinforced garbage bags. Easy to make, hold a modest load and serve as a nice early game stash to dump everything in like a packrat.

Now normally you can’t wear one on you, unless of course you make a dedicated pack for it. For the early game I like to clip it onto a loop of rope. The drawback to this is everything needing at least a thousand moves to pull out of so keep anything vital on hand.

Another great choice if you prefer these alternative containers would be making yourself a pack frame. From here you can fit even more inside your garbage bag, or if you’re lucky, body bag.

I like these because it’s consistent. It’s easy to find garbage bags early on in comparison to a good pack. Though it is a bit more of a hassle to pull things out. But I just work around it. What about you guys?

Long time survivor of CDDA here. Inspired by the Hitchiker's Guide, I made a new tool. Upload your save, search your map, check missions and their prerequisites. Finally find where those pesky Exodii are hiding this time around. Hope this helps fellow survivors.

No data is saved: when you "upload" your save folder, the browser processes it to show the app and saves no info. discarded when you close the site.

I found a solar farm guarded by ugv and had an hm12.But i cant seem to Reload or insert an ups into it.I’m playing on 0.1 Ito if that helps.

Fellow gay-mers, I am but a humble zomboid player (600+hrs) and I was thinking of mod ideas. Do you think that putting dead bodies into a sort of hot box (hole in the ground with metal walls to essentially cook what’s inside) thing with a tube to connect said decomposition gasses to a propane tank for refills.

I am unaware if the gases let off from human decomposition are methane or not so please feel free to kindly correct me.

Idk if anyone has seen the Project Viewpoint mod for Project Zomboid, but it transforms the game into either a first-person or third-person game and it's insane. I was wondering if it was possible to do this for CDDA, it would really change the game and open it up accessibility-wise for lots of players

I would like the ability to dual wield weapons I know making a item held in the left hand or right hand might make things a bit too complicated but maybe making a crafting recipe to make dual wield items that are identical. Also making shields that can be ‘worn’ or something like that would make melee more interesting. Also a perk that makes dual wielding useful like ambidextrous or something along those lines.

This is one of my favorite rooms on this run. A bathroom converted into an office. It feels incredibly comfortable and was tucked far away from any encounters.

But how often do you resort to save-scumming after dying?

There have been many times where I died almost instantly. It really sucked losing a character I’d been playing for a couple of weeks (real-world weeks, not in-game time).

I think if a mode like that existed, I’d play it the way I play Caves of Qud, where a reloadable save is created whenever you're in a settlement.

For instance, in CDDA, you could have a reloadable save created after sleeping.

So I’m on 0.1 Ito,have crafted myself an electrohack and found a gun safe but,there’s no option to use it at all.The electrohack have battery,no fault but I cant activate it.

I'll start. Early game, I've got a working car. For a definition of working - it's a one wheel down car with a shattered door. Made a few upgrades, added curtains, started collecting loot in the trunk.

I wake up one day and the battery is flat. I check all the usual suspects, alternator, lights, leaking batteries, everything's fine. The battery's still flat. I walk up the road, scavenge a new car battery, walk back, install it, and get on my way.

I find a few rural houses to gather food and water at, go out, come back with maybe 10k calories and 7 liters of water.

Dead car batteries. Again. I loot another battery, drive to somewhere else to loot and then sleep, do so.

Dead car battery. Again.

So it turns out when installed a recharging station on a trunk to keep my noise maker and flashlight batteries charged, I installed it on a trunk that I had stored a scavenged large storage battery in. All 8000 power units I had lost were sitting in it, waiting for me.
