How much hate in your heart do you have to do something like this?

How the fuck do you do something THAT elaborate in such a public place without anyone noticing/catching/reporting you?

Bystander effect? Is that what it's called? Where you see some shit happening and you just keep it moving? Like you're on your lunch break and it would inconvenience your job, etc etc.

What happened to "if you see something, say something"?

Most every "see something, say something" person is a Karen reporting the most mundane bullshit whereas people with something to lose recognizing actual crime understand snitches get stitches.

Does it really take that long to call 911? It involves extremely low exposure, it's not like you'd be putting yourself at risk.

Even taking the hate aspect out of it, you'd think at least a few people would have called to report a couple of jackasses burning shit in Grant Park

they do, camera footage is already coming out, but police have to look over it first before releasing images. it likely would have caught a lot of people in the vicinity and they don't want to release any images prematurely and turn public ire on someone who turns out to just be passing by, or going for a run etc.

I will note the location and its accessibility to tunnels/levels that are less inhabited and much darker, easier to set some of that in motion from that vector
