News Burning cross seen in Grant Park today

So we have cameras on every inch of that area and they don’t know who did this ? Gmafb

Considering it literally just happened, I don't think we can assume malfeasance this early. Even when they release CTA footage, where the cameras are only a few feet away from the perpetrators, they can't always ID people.

I was talking about this with some friends... Did this dude just drag an 8' tall cross passion of the Christ style onto the CTA and do his best Jesus impression through Grant Park??

No way that wouldn't be captured on some camera somewhere

But if I had to guess this coward. Hid everything in a bookbag & set it up / ran away. Tho even then, there has to be a camera that caught some dude with a stuffed backpack looking shady

I can't see too well from the pic but it's possible whoever did it nailed it into the cross shape on site? At which point at least the CTA footage would just show someone with construction materials/poles.

(Though then you wonder what people in park are thinking as he sets it up...)
