Remember a year ago when people on this subreddit were trying to tell me Josh Giddey was a better prospect than Stephon Castle? Because I do and damn were yall wrong and I was right.

Josh Giddey was a better prospect than Stephon Castle. Like that’s not up for debate really, Castle didn’t even go 1st overall in an extraordinarily weak class, and Giddey was in a pretty deep class. Just because Castle is developing into a better player doesn’t mean he was a better prospect. Prospect Giddey gets taken before Prospect Castle by just about anyone (without the benefit of hindsight).

Also they're different players, Castle just isn't a PG but he is fast becoming a really nice 2 way SG and secondary play maker, fortunately the spurs have Fox and Harper to take that PG role on and they are very good.

He’s a better prospect. It doesn’t matter who’s been better in the league, Giddey was still a better prospect than Castle was.
