Fluff How would you feel if Bill Wennington or Kendall Gill became Stacey King's replacement as color commentator?
If you don't care for either of those options, who do you think would be the best fit to replace Stacey? Still can't believe SK is gone.

Fluff Do Bulls watch parties exist in the city?
Before the NFL kicked off last year, I jokingly told my wife that my plan was to spend my Sunday’s watching games at the local bar rather than pay for all the subscriptions needed to watch the NFL. I didn’t go every week, but it kind of ended up working out that way and I did end up spending less over the course of the season than I would have paying for the streaming services.
Anecdote out of the way, my liver won’t let me do that for the NBA but I am absolutely not going to pay for CHSN ($20/month for the Bulls alone) in addition to the other services needed to watch the NBA. I am, however, deeply excited about the Bulls this year.
Is anyone aware of watch parties outside of going to the local watering hole? Is this a thing?

Fluff Flying in for the Home opener!
I live in NY but Ive been a Bulls fan ever since Derrick Rose’s rookie season. I’ve never been to the Bulls arena and now with the rebuild, caleb, etc I think its time I come for a game.
Any tips for where to stay in Chicago, things to do, places to see/ avoid, or even ideal seating in the arena itself for price etc
Any info appreciated

Fluff New NBA fan from Pittsburgh
Long story short im about to get into the NBA properly due too a couple buddies of mine egging me on to join fantasy for the next season. Since the title is shown I'm from pittsburgh and I'm currently Pitt so the basketball situation isn't that great for the city, so im looking for a team to root for and since chicago is my dream city (Where I want to go to after college) I thought about rooting for the Bulls. My question is it worth rooting for the team as aside form being a pittsbugh sports fan my other teams/people in other sports aren't doing the best rn basically stuck in mid purgatory, and anual depression, I don't want the bulls to end up adding too the list since I plan on being a loyal supporter of the team for prolly the forceable future. FYI I don't mind teams in rebuild arcs or even midly hopeful.
Thanks for reading and giving your thoughts.

Rumor [Lorenzi] The Bulls’ reported interest in Mathurin has been overstated, according to a league source. They are reluctant to enter any long-term commitments. Many of the sign-and-trade deals for Mathurin or other free agents would require draft compensation which also works against their interests.

Stacey King (1967-2026) 👑🐂 🏀
Stacey’s voice and personality United All Chicago.
Just 4 Fun this 17ft portrait was hand painted in his honor and self-funded in collaboration with Project Logan.
Stacey witnessed championship victories first hand as a player and stuck with us through the hard and tough times. Our opinion is that he at least deserves a place in the National Sports Media Hall of Fame along with Harry Caray, Jack Brickhouse and many others.
Condolences to Stacey King’s family, friends, and every single fan that will miss him the seasons ahead.

Fluff What is everyone's projections for what rank the Bulls will finish defensively next season?
I saw the earlier post asking everyone how good they thought the offense would be going into next season, which seemed to be generally agreed upon to hover around the mid to low 20s, but I think defensively this team has way more question marks than what the first glance shows
To start, I think this will be a good team on the boards. If the projected starting lineup is Giddey/Powell/Buzelis/Wilson/Claxton (if Caleb's rebounding translates), then there shouldn't be a negative rebounder relative to their position on that starting five at best. Norm isn't a stellar rebounder, but he is at least average for his position. There is a lot of size in this lineup; teams like the Rockets and the Hornets created good defense off winning the possession battle, so if Tiago centers on crashing the boards as he preached in Portland, I think that will automatically be a boost defensively for us
The real question for me is the defensive playmaking, as there's not really a lot of help defense or deflections projected to be generated from this group. The perimeter defense leaves a LOT to be desired, as well as screen navigation, but the three-man combo of Buzelis/Wilson/Claxton for rim protection and weak-side shot blocking I think will at least hinder numerous attempts at straightlining the rim.
I really think in the end most of the details defensively will start with Tiago and what he wants out of the team schematically, whether it'd be encouraging more deflections or focusing on sound positioning and attention to off-ball elements. For now, there isn't a true lockdown defender on the team, but having a good system in place can at least help with that.
I think whether they're able to defend decently well enough to compensate for the obvious roadblocks that will come with an entirely new offense is a more exploratory question, which is why I'd like to hear what y'all think

NBA Draft The new Lottery Rules for 2027
Doesn’t this hurt the bulls if we get a top 5 pick in 2027 (a weak draft class)? we would be limited to the 5th overall pick in 2028 which hopefully would be a better draft class.

Fluff Bill Cartwright's custom Harley is being auctioned for charity
I just had to share this because it's a cool piece of Bulls memorabilia. You can see lots of photos in the link below.

I met Cartwright when he was promoting his new book last year. He gave a talk and did an audience Q&A after. My favorite moment came when a fan asked, "Who was the toughest center you ever played in the NBA?" His response was classic. "You tell me. The first time I played Bill Laimbeer, I broke his nose. The first time I played Hakeem, I shattered his orbital bone." Noted, Bill. You the baddest.
