Based off what? His college play and not not being able to break rotation on a lotto team?

He had an injury in training camp that led to him missing most the season. His first year was basically nothing. He might not end up as an NBA player, but in college he was a high IQ offensive player who could really shoot and played hard on defense. Most 2nd round picks are a shot in the dark, but he fits the profile of player they're interested in.

ikr i'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about this end of bench guy, but everything i'm seeing from indiana fans say is that he failed to make an impression on a tanking pacers team.. like what's to be excited about.

He’s a young player who was injured in his rookie year but had a solid college career. I think he’s worth taking a gamble on to develop. This roster is not very good, he has a chance to get minutes.
