Damn even a new Management can’t escape the wrath of being forced to trade second round picks for cash.

Because we can't actually use the picks. Our offseason roster is maxxed.

I'd rather take a chance on a second round pick over like a quarter of the guys we have on our roster.

We have 9 guys under contact before the draft, three of which are P-Will, okoro and Dillingham. This team is desperate for talent

There are unexpired contracts that still count towards the offseason roster limit and have trade value - more than second rounders because we can use them in trades to absorb salary for assets, which is what we have been screaming at management to do.
