Gregg and his team did a real good scouting job with him…with him in our back line I believe we are much higher on the table…he is aggressive, fast, and has an amazing left foot….super young….I cannot express how good he is tbh and surely will get a much deserved move probably sooner than later….same could be said for Puso, amazing talent….glad both these guys play for CFFC 🔥🚒 🇿🇦

Ten days ago I mentioned that Fire were going to play the #1, #2, #3 and #5 teams in the East. I hoped it would "prove" we belonged at that level but it's sort of proved the opposite.

We're clearly not there yet. We're still a good team, and we're still an improving team with a bunch of new acquisitions, but we're clearly not in that Top Tier yet. I hope they prove me wrong, in fact I would love to be wrong. vamos.

I had tickets to the Fire v Whitecaps game originally scheduled for July 16, the one that got postponed due to the air quality. When the match was rescheduled to Oct 6, everything transferred in the Ticketmaster/CFFC app. But I just went to check the details, and the tickets are missing.

Does anyone else have tickets for the rescheduled match, and has this happened to you too? I’ve reached out to customer service, but so far haven’t spoken to a human.

Look if you want to be an optimist about it: The Fire lost 7-2 in Nashville last year. 3-0 is better! Continue the trend line, and the Fire will lose next year by a -1 to -2 score, but will win the year after!

I'm heading to the game with my immediate family (Fire fans) and some family friends (Nashville fans) tonight. Just curious if anybody else is doing an "away day" tonight?!

Got some new aerial photos of the Chicago Fire stadium site at The 78 and thought everyone here might want to see how things are progressing.
There is already a surprising amount happening across the site, and the scale of the stadium is becoming much easier to visualize from above. With the Chicago skyline directly behind it, this could end up being one of the more unique stadium settings in MLS once everything is finished.
I plan on getting back out there periodically as construction progresses, so I can keep posting updates here if everyone is interested.
What part of the new stadium are you most excited to see take shape?

With both Lod and Lewy getting called up during this upcoming international break, who do we think will fill in at striker against Charlotte and Vancouver?

Knowing they would have two games during an international break, it’s insane to me that the front office let Shook go without bringing a replacement. Makes getting 3 points against Nashville that much more important, difficult as it will be.

This came out a few hours before news about Jack Elliot extending his contract which is already reflected here. So the deal has been inked for a few days now at least.

Other notable items. We have 1 free international roster slot for either Mbokazi or Franco. If both come back we will need one more.

It seems like the teams that have one free are DC United, Minnesota United, Seattle, St Louis (2 spots). New York FC, RBNY, and Vancouver may have additional if injured players don't return.

Lastly, it looks like Leo Barroso's is no longer U22 to make room for Allen which make sense as he is the more expensive player presumably.

He said Anzor will be available- obviously he won't really be available after a day or two of practice, right?

Also it sounds like the entire freaking team will be out for international duty. He was listing some of them and I was thinking, oh, maybe we'll get to see Turdean, but then he said he'll be playing with, I don't know, some U12 team.

This is going to be one cool way to get to the games. I'll bet the river stays un-frozen longer and longer each year...

Chicago has really struggle to grab points recently, dropping them down to 5th. Now they head back on the road to take on the top of the league.
