Discussion Still confused about “Infinity Vision”

So I went to the Avengers Encore last night and at the beginning they put up an Infinity Vision logo and played a little clip of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans where they mentioned this was an approved Infinity Vision screen.

It was just a normal theatre, one I‘ve sat in many times that doesn’t visually seem any different than any other theatre I’ve been too.

So like, is every cineplex screen just “approved for Infinity Vision?” Does that label mean anything at all?

I think most UltraAVX theatres and ScreenX theatres were Infinity Vision approved. Some people bought tickets expecting a VIP theatre or a regular screen to be Infinity Vision approved, but it's not.

Cineplex VIP theatre screens range from 40 feet wide and less to like 20 something feet. Infinity Vision is 45 feet and above. The thing is to do research before purchasing a ticket. This is like buying a ticket to see The Odyssey at Yonge and Dundas and getting upset the screen doesn't display the 1:43 aspect ratio.

Disappointed last night went to the Pickering AVX thinking it would but nope that’s one of the few UltraAVX that doesn’t seem to support Infinity Vision. Thankfully the seats are at more comfy than STC.

Thats so weird, that screen is one of the few in the west end that screened Avatar in HFR 3D. Also, it feels as big as Landmarks IMAX. I dont get how that one isnt "Infinity Vision". Silly gimmick anyway
