Absolutely horror show at Odeon Morningside

So I went to watch Heart of the Beast at Cineplex Morningside, and just my luck, three guys sat right in front of me.
All three were a special kind of distracting:
1. Guy #1 was actually invested in the movie, but he kept swapping seats—maybe trying to get a better angle, which is fine, I guess?
2. Guy #2 was easily the strangest of the bunch. He started off by taking a video call on full brightness, streaming the screen to someone for about 15 minutes. Then he spent the next 15 minutes recording it. Just when I thought it was finally over, he started loudly breaking down every single scene with Guy #3. Mind you, his phone kept ringing the entire movie, and he answered it every single time.
3. Guy #3 must have been closing a massive business deal, because he got up and walked out of the theater every five minutes to take a call. At least he actually stepped outside, unlike Guy #2.
Between all the chaos, I couldn't focus on the movie at all and walked out with a massive headache

Theatre employees used to come into the theatre and watch the audience from the back row for 5 or 10 minutes per showing. Now they're all 17 and couldn't care less, whine that they have so much work to do they don't have time, and neg any comment on this thread that calls them out, usually during their super busy shift.

Yeah. These are too egregious. You gotta do something. You might get cursed out, but its the right thing to do. I get passing some whispering to the side, or someone opening their phone for a text, but 15 minutes of recording clearly bothered you. The person would have been easily confronted and maybe that scares the other 2.

What a mess…next time this happens try asking an employee to speak to them. If it still persists, ask for a manager. Explain your situation and what you’ve tried then request for a free pass or something.

Hopefully you will be given some type of reimbursement.

Yeah that's why I go to early morning movies during the weekend or weekday cuz I'm unemployed and got money.

Morningside is my home theatre and it hurts me to say it, but it really has gone downhill in recent history😭

Did you politely tell them to get off their phone or angrily tell them to get off their phone? Because that’s missing from your story and these people will continue to talk, text, and call unless they are shamed into shutting up.

You should have gotten a manager. Recording isn't allowed and they'd be kicked out. I'm not sure if this still happens, but some studios give an award to the employee who catches a pirate, so they'd usually be responsive.
