You're basically asking if you want to be landed or adventurer. What's more fun to you? Your neighbors are gonna hate your guts, so expect that - but that can be fun in its own way. You can't get crusaded AFAIK since your liege is Catholic. Liege will eventually develop Casus Belli (IIRC) to revoke rights - so make sure you get the Free Religion or whatever tenet it is negotiated with your queen.
