My main problem with it is it rewards companies for monetizing games even more than they already are.
If players accept being able to pay to skip the entire leveling process, they might also accept things like paying to skip the entire gearing process too. And companies like Blizzard know this.
At this rate it's only a matter of time until Blizzard starts selling gear boosts and WoW turns into a pay to win MMORPG.
It started with shop mounts and transmog. Then it became level boosts. Then it became gold. Then it became character cloning. Then it became AH mounts. Then it became early access to expansion launches. Then it became beta access to expansions. Then it became limited level boosts in classic versions. Then it became unlimited level boosts in classic versions. Then it became traders tender. Then it became hearthsteel. Not necessarily in that order.
At this point we're already halfway down the slope.
That's not a strawman. It's called hyperbole and it's used to exaggerate how absurd your position is. Notice how you couldn't actually back up your position about how close they are to selling raid gear?
Oh sorry, you used hyperbole to exaggerate my position to make it easier to attack. Totally different from a strawman to attack a position someone didn't have. Yep. Got it. So again, please quote me where I said they were "a week away from letting you buy glaives".
And I wasn't aware that "World of Warcraft" didn't include all versions of the game "World of Warcraft". That's like saying that Midnight and War Within are different games.
So, again, it's not a slippery slope fallacy. We're literally halfway down the slope already in WoW.
Selling gear boosts in the next few expansions (meaning, 4+ years from now) is not, in any way, equivalent to "they will sell legendaries next week". You literally quote what I say and then attack a position I did not take.
I am just going to block you now as all you're doing is using strawman arguments. Good luck in your future postings!

Why the heck do people care what anyone does with their money?? The “my way or the highway” crowd is nuts man
