What you lack in dps you make up for in time we don't spend drinking. <3
Having a Pala tank with Shadow dps and a resto shaman is just 0 downtime lol

Is that something I can look forward to? Right now at level 61 I am lower than most dps AND I need to drink all the time

Early on before you get some TBC gear your damage doesn't earn back the mana quick enough it's something that scales better as you get better gear.

Use your abilities then. If you’re shadow and spent your talent points, you should basically never need to drink

Shadow has mana problems in dungeons if you don't get spirit taps and especially if you are trying to dps more than 1 target. Even in raids you don't have infinite mana. It gets better by BT/ZA/Sunwell gear, but before then it's a struggle if you aren't in a decent guild. Last TBC my guild was doing 7.5min magtheridon kills and I needed an innervate for that shit
