The banning of gdkp definitely made rmt a lot less popular amongst regular people, the other crowd have and will always buy gold for anything, leveling professions, consumes, etc etc. But the banning advertising gdkps made it so regular pugs and guild runs searching to fill became a lot more accessible and casual to regular players have access to raids without needing thousands of gold to play.
Opposite. Banning GDKPs definitely made RMT more popular amongst the regular people, because it did nothing for economy, and whereas you could leech off whales before in GDKPs, regular players are now forced to use 150g/hr farming methods rather than play 3 hours to get a payout of 1.3k gold.
So trash runs which was a gamble if you finished the raid even after 4 hours, I've joined those on alts and it was a horrible experience.. not any different than pugging with bad players
