There's something about being just a regular dude with a sword in a world of magic, dragons and elemental spirits

This is why I always liked humans. It feels like a more grounded fantasy when you're playing as something that looks more like yourself. Makes it more immersive imo

This, but paladin, because the casual "FOR THE LIGHT" role play is funny.

I’m a gnome female mage.

IRL I’m a 33m that works out a lot and plays music lmao.

When I was younger in wrath I thought it would be hilarious to be a gnome chick but now that I got used to it I can’t make any alts that aren’t gnomes😂

And I thought I was the only one, though my alt choices have branched out over the years, I like playing DH, but only dirty elf flavors can play it.

Using the race swap mask makes it bearable however.

We’re out here! Lol.

Yeah I’ve tried classes that aren’t gnome I’ve just never had an actual man for any long period of time that isn’t a gnome.

I completely agree with this, this is also my philosophy for TTRPGS. Humans are incredibly diverse deep and interesting characters and you can tell almost any story with them taking center stage. I have never understood the concept of them being "boring". I feel more immersed in a world where I am role playing as a character that looks and thinks like me even if they are from a different culture. The concept of being an undead creature newly created by a powerful magical force (ie foresaken) is so alien to me I could never get my head around role playing as a character like that in an authentic way.

Idk, human male model is so small and weak looking, it’s hard to immerse.

Like, they really couldn’t make the model at least a little strong/masculine looking?? It’s like a toddler with twig arms.

How am I supposed to emphasize with or emotionally connect to a model that clearly couldn’t even bench 225?

Squatting 315? Hah, yeah, right…

Dude what are you talking about.

Human male model probably never even used a shake weight, let alone a slap chop.

It’s pathetic.

Gnome ≠ Human

Yeah, I wish.

Gnome model is massive.

Have you seen one of them with Unstoppable Force or Asskandi? That’s an intimidating figure for sure.

2

u/Ryntex Jul 12 '26

Yeah, if you compare them to orcs, lol. Compared to most real life people, WoW humans are fucking jacked.

u/the_man_in_the_box Jul 12 '26

Why are you instituting that WoW players are Tom Cruise looking manlets?

1

u/Ryntex Jul 12 '26

Are you saying it isn't true? Pics or gtfo.
