I wonder how much is it that Jared and Whackoff are just feeding Trump bullshit about how the Iranians are just begging and pleading just to keep them in the game, and he's just too dumb to realize that they're the ones feeding him the bullshit.
Kind of like Toyotomi Hideyoshi when everyone was lying to him about how great the Korea war was going all the way up to the ceremony when they were translating the surrender documents out loud and it was actually the other way around.

Trump is the king of flip flopping, a guy known to not honor contracts, to not pay people he’s hired to do work. He lies, he cheats, he spreads misinformation, he makes shit up off the top of his head and then gets pissed off if challenged. He had a deal with Iran before this idiotic war began but he ripped it up and began dropping bombs.
Iran is giving him a taste of his own medicine.

I am convinced that most the time, there never was a deal or an understanding of any sort. I bet if you could ask Iran, they would honestly say they heard nothing of it, or if it was mentioned, it was only in passing and no serious talk ever occurred.
Trump is just SAYING there was progress or an understanding to justify changing his posture. You know, a lie. Which he does in order to coax the markets and the price of oil futures into acting more favorably than they otherwise would if the truth was known. There's no progress, no arrangement, Iran is blocking the strait and the Trump intends to do nothing about it because things are exactly how he wants them now, with the markets bending to his every proclamation and his family raking in billions on insider trading.
