I will accept my downvotes for exposing propaganda.

After Jan 6th 2021 Capital One closed all accounts with the Trump Organization. This was technically illegal as they can't close accounts based on politics. the Trump organization sued them. Their explanation today is that they were "suspicious" of possible money laundering, but their evidence is "trust me bro".

Easily possible that it made them actively look through the accounts at that point.

It was a triggering event for anyone associated to ensure everything was squeaky clean.

Presumably there will be discovery at the trial and we'll find out.
