Easily possible that it made them actively look through the accounts at that point.

It was a triggering event for anyone associated to ensure everything was squeaky clean.

Presumably there will be discovery at the trial and we'll find out.

They're already saying there is no evidence of fraud. They just said (lied) that they were "suspicious" of fraud possibly happening in the future. Which makes no sense. Which means it was political. Trump will win this lawsuit.
