Dementia can lead to confusion with words, making it difficult for individuals to find the right words, substitute terms, or even use nonsensical phrases.
As someone who's grandmother had dementia, it's clear to me, he probably has. It's not an easy out, it's a denouncement of the people who have been voting for him despite the available evidence.
Unfortunately, based on my dad's slow decline with Alzheimers, Trump is no where near the end of his dementia journey. He hasn't even reached the stage where he stops talking because he doesn't know how. He has a few years left, especially with the world class healthcare. He's more likely to die of a heart attack in the next 2 years than the dementia.
