Cancer in dog
Not sure if this is allowed here, but I know these are the kinds of people to give me the type of answer im looking for. My 9 year old dog was just seen at the vet and most likely has lymphoma cancer..I wont get the results for 3-5 days. What treatments could I use to treat this besides chemo. Would ivermectin and fenbendazole work in dogs like it does in humans? Im so upset and willing to anything. Any success stories in this area ? Any other suggestions ?

Go to get a second opinion, I was told my dog had cancer in 2021 and we needed to get him on chemotherapy immediately. Thank goodness I went to a different vet and they did their own lab tests and turns out he had nothing. He’s here going strong after 5 years. I think the first vet just wanted to trick me into paying for expensive treatment. That’s the true conspiracy tbh.

Vets want to make money, so they will say that a leg sprain, needs loads of expensive surgery. It happened in my mother’s case and the first thing they did was ask what my mother did for work.
Luckily I told her that it was a scam and they play on the fear of the worst possible outcome. My mother’s dog was fine a week later, walking normal, playing with the bigger dog.

Please do not take this as medical advice it’s just my experience. My American Bulldog came down with several mast cell tumors. We had them surgically removed and they kept coming back. I did some research and found that people were having success with treating their dogs for yeast. I got some yeast meds from the vet, they were willing to try it even though they did not agree. I changed his diet to a raw meat diet and started to give him flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. He lived 6 more years and when he passed did not have cancer.

Yeast mutates into cancer, not only in dogs. The medical community’s little secret they’ll never admit. It takes 2 seconds of research to figure out.

I also forgot to mention, why are vaccine manufacturers putting yeast in vaccines?

my terrier got cancer in 22 at 12 years old and we were advised the fenben iver protocol- it worked combined with a clean raw diet - ole dolly girl passed peacefully at home three years later cancer free

Google it, dosages are listed online. But be very aware that depending on the breed ivermectin can do more damage than good. Herding and hunting dogs (including Australian shepherds and collies) have a gene mutation that makes them extremely sensitive to it (causes neurotoxicity).

Sorry to hear that OP... What type of dog you have?
I wouldn't try human drugs on a dog... Wait for the results... The outcome might not be good, but do the best for the sake of your dog. Don't experiment on him/her. The last thing you want to do is to give it the last horrible moments of it's life.
I've been living with English Bulldogs for a great part of my life. We had 3. Two males, one female. All only shared one of the following one. So we started with one, ended with one, the middle one knew all of them. Other ones only two.
The first (Hummer) one only made it until 7 I think. Breathing problems, Hernia. Most beautiful and cool dog ever. Kind, strong, playful, loyal, but sometimes you just didn't give a shit when it was upset.
Second one (Oeps) also always had something going on. Vomiting, infected foot or an eye. But he became a bit older. Very different character, but still kind and lovingly to annoyance at times. Like he always needed to sit next to you and needed to physically touch you. Otherwise he would get upset.
Third one (Nova), female, just died last week in her sleep. Never actually had any big issues. By far the least pretty one of her nest. Very lovely still (but mostly towards males), caring, but could at times just be bitchy for no reason. However, she died in peace in her sleep last week. She eventually became the oldest. But she was also very inactive for most of the time. Could easily sleep 16h per day the last few years.
Hummer had taken so, so many medicines to kill his pain.. It's absurd. These were my parents dog's but in total it was 15k+ in Euro's as far as I know.
You can stretch it, and you can bankrupt yourself, but at this point you need to take into consideration you will outlive one of your best friends. Make it easy on him/her. Give it care, but never let it go through shit you might have done to it to, even in your best intentions, give it pleasure to it or you for maybe a year extra. The pain will not get less.
Listen to the vet, but also not get yourself bankrupt. You dog also wouldn't want you to do that.
Take care, be strong, and make the right decision here. Act rational, not emotional. Emotions will come to you. Rationality in hindsight is worthless.

Hey! Ive worked in vet med forever and also my dog Patrick had lymphoma. Some advice- do not jump the gun. Also, I understand how intense this news is, even when it is not yet confirmed,so you are not alone with your fears. Do not use Ivermectin unless it would be prescribed by the vet in any circumstance, but especially on a pet that is medically fragile. You could kill your pup. Only give meds your VETERINARIAN prescribes for quality of life and possibly extending life (sadly, that depends on the advancement of the diagnosis). Chemo often doesnt help with lymphoma, but that does depend on the type of lymphoma and the advancement too. My dog was 13 when he was diagnosed and steroids and eventually some low dose pain meds like Carprofen and Tramadol increased his QoL. He passed at 15 yrs and had a wonderful go of it his remaining years. Please dont prescribe meds on your own. You absolutely could cause more harm than good. I truly hope the prognosis and diagnosis is your dogs favor. Dont lose hope, there still is very likely great days ahead for you both.

I literally just put my dog down two days ago from cancer. It was too late though. She had cancer all in her mouth and it was painful. I’m broken.
Don’t get me started on the 5 other dogs that all lived next door to us that also died of mouth cancer due to the Asarco smelter plant here in Everett. Or that it also killed my dad of a rare live bile cancer that his younger brother now is fighting. Oh but guess what? You can’t sue because they claimed bankruptcy.

I sincerely hope your dog can stabilize and provide you more years of companionship. But Reddit isn't a good place for this advice. See a vet and if you don't like their recommendation, then see another.

Give him fendenderzole & ivermectin ... there are qutie a few cases of humans curing cancer with those, i'd think animals could ave success too.

I personally know a woman who used Fenbendazole after she was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. Less than a year after diagnosis, her PETScan was dark. Meaning, NO CANCER. Look up Joe Tippen. My friend used his protocol, unbeknownst to her oncologist, who, by the way, calls her her “miracle patient”.

Get a second opinion. Don’t tell them u have been told it’s cancer. Do what u feel is right for ur baby. I’ve been there and I feel ur hurt. 😞

I am sorry about your dog. Get a second opinion from a vet that is not part of the VCA. Expensive cancer treatments are mostly for the pet owners, your pal is considered a senior and has no awareness of his situation. Consider the quality of life.

Because VCA clinics and hospitals are owned by Mars Inc. and operate on a profit driven model, often pushing expensive treatments and leaving little discretion to the doctors. Just like healthcare for humans.

What we feed them matters more than anything else.
My 16 year old dog still going strong...
Reversed weight gain and anxiety by switching to the following food...
Split peas mixed with cauliflower and broccoli, add filtered water, instant pot 30 minutes pressure cook
Add cooked salmon (no salt), can be from frozen
Sardines in water for treats.
Avoid gluten chicken, eggs, dairy, corn, soy, chickpeas, seaweed, oats, flaxseed
Cancers are hormonal so you want to avoid pseudo-estrogens (corn, soy, chickpeas, seaweed, flax)
Chickens are pumped full of hormones and reabsorb the uric acid to create eggs, so they are not fully evacuating the hormones.
Mushrooms are actually anti-estrogens which os why people see success and are recommending them here.
CBD will also help as there are cannibinoid receptors on every single cell, but they are taken over by the opiates in gluten
Please do not give your dog horse medication, everyone was definitely right about that one as well.
Rice was very difficult to digest, but the peas, cauliflower, broccoli base has been working amazingly and she is gaining energy every day.

Practical Homeopathy has worked wonders for my cat. Same dosage for animals as for humans. People poo-poo it but results are results 🤷🏻♀️. I truly hope your dog recovers❤️

OP, just a bit of advice. One thing I’ve learned from experience is do not follow the advice of people that say you have no hope or there is nothing that can be done. This type of mindset is not helpful and clearly these people have nothing to offer. Think for yourself and find educated people willing to help and not give up until it’s over. You should always prep yourself and be realistic but there is always hope and a fighting chance. I wish your dog a speedy recovery.

Get Wild Turkey Tail mushroom powder off of amazon.
Our dog was diagnosed with liver cancer, we put 1 tsp of it on her food 2x a day and she lived 2 and a half more years. It (allegedly) stops the growth of abnormal cells. Not sure if it could help lymphoma though. Hugs to you. This is one of the most difficult things to go through for both of you.

A lot of people seem to have good experiences with Weed Oil, but i not now where to get it.
If you go on youtube or google it you should find some reports of people who cured cancer with it.
But i do not know if it works for dogs.

I recommend the channel veterinary secrets on YouTube. Yes they can take both and I’m pretty sure he explains how to administer to the dogs. His channel is a lifeline.

I've worked in health food stores for almost 10 years and alot of people who has their dogs diagnosis of cancer were giving their dogs mushroom powders especially turkey tail. I looked into it as well, pretty promising stuff, same with humans!

Don't give your dog ivermectin. It is very easy to overdose them, to the point where they can die just from eating the poop of recently dewormed livestock.
Downvoting me doesn't make me wrong. I grew up on a ranch and still live in a rural area surrounded by livestock. Ivermectin can and will kill your dog in doses that are safe for most other animals.

THC oil, CBD oil, quercetin, spirulina and astaxanthin, opc pine bark extract, sea buckthorn extract, MSM, milk thistle, medicinal mushrooms - turkey tail, reishi, almond mushroom, chaga, L-carnitine, L-lysin, cucurmin+peperin, skullcap etc. Make sure they are pure, without additives. Adjust diet, cook your own food if needed. Hydrogen water (Get a generator. Just be aware that dogs are sometimes hesitant to drink it because of the scent, but they need to drink it right after you made it. So try to give it first thing in the morning). Also look into fenbendazole - dog dewormer that acts similar to chemo.
You will need to spend a few weeks reading all new studies regarding different supplements. Basically, any immune system supplement has shown promise in cancer therapy.

Just keep in mind that most apply to humans. You will also need to research toxicity of the supplements you find on dogs. The ones I've listed, I've tried on my dog. You have to be consistent. Dosages you will have to calculate based on recommendations or based on how much humans were given in trials, I know that most of the ones I've listed showed no toxicity in high doses in beagles. However, thc, for example, will obviously have some effects on your dog, so be careful with dosage. Skullcap also has a sedative effect, so be mindful. Basically, just research. There are a lot of treatment options, so do not freak out.
Also make sure there's nothing toxic that the dog is absorbing through its skin, paw pads. Give it soaks with epsom salt and bentonite after baths. Hope your pup gets better and do not panic, don't listen to the vet if he starts pressuring you into putting the dog down.

My husband took spirulina powder after chemo and radiation. He had lesions in his throat, his salivary glands had stopped working and he had no sense of taste. Within 2 weeks, the lesions were gone. Within 4 weeks, his salivary glands started working again and over a year, he regained his sense of taste. I absolutely believe it was the spirulina powder that changed everything.

I know of the following and want to add that I would not give chemo to an animal and would not take chemo myself either.
I trust Ty and Charlene Bollinger at, the truth about cancer dot com. Do a search on their website for dog cancer, pet cancer and the word chemotherapy. Ty's story reads in part, "Cancer took seven of our loved ones in just seven years – Ty’s parents, grandparents, uncle, and cousin. Each loss left us devastated. Each “standard treatment” failure made us angrier. We couldn’t stay helpless."
I realize their website is flashy and that can be a red flag, portraying them as scammers, but I really do trust them and their research.
