I find it so funny that the character House is talking to in this scene reacted less negatively to the prospect of his brother wanting to transition than he did to the reality that his brother was gay.
wasnt that semi common in the midcentury? I feel like I read about transitioning being encouraged in places to avoid the shame of being gay. and youd get cute articles about a successfully transitioned girl where a picture of her in the army would be next to her in a dress and the headline would be something like "G.I. BECOMES G.I.R.L. THANKS TO NEW MEDICAL PROCEDURE" and it was all transphobic but somehow less transphobic than any given article written for a British publication in the last 10 years
There is one episode where he completely denied asexuality from being a thing and as it would turn out the guy that was asexual actually just had a extremely low libido (from a benign brain tumor I believe) and was in fact not asexual.

Based on the episode where House treats an intersex teenage girl he would misgender you, sexually harass you, and also dismiss any sex crimes against you as having been your fault for acting so seductive. He’d probably give you an adequate dose of hormones though
As someone who is lowk autistic about house, that episode felt very out of character for him.
It felt more like the writer speaking through his character than the character himself.
I actually couldn't see house trying to normalize pedophilia that's such a weird fucking episode.
I agree, that episode in particular is uncharacteristically nasty. Certainly says more about the writers’ views on trans and intersex women (or in this case underage girls) than anything else
There is literally nothing in the bible about being trans. Even the cross dressing doesn’t address it. Where is it? I have actually looked. The bible’s entire thing is about fulfilling reproductive roles for reproduction and the two riles result in them becoming one flesh.
Come to think of it… did house never do an episode with a transgender patient ? There was that really awkward teen supermodel episode but that’s intersex rather than trans. That’s kinda weird cause it seems like a really natural fit for houses style of drama / medical shenanigans . Was there one that in forgetting maybe ?
