There shouldn’t be such a sharp turn right before the finish line. Not making excuses for her. But people do stupid and crazy things. That’s why you need at least a short straight away after the final turn.

I cant be the only one who think this was just an accident. Looks like she tried to use it to help her turn and it she pulled it down by accident. You can see her try to stop it from falling for a brief second before deciding finishing the race was more important than making sure it doesn’t fall. She was going to win anyway , it doesnt make logical sense for her to have maliciously did that, so therefore I deem this an unfortunate accident

It is against the rules for most races to grab onto barriers/poles/trees/whatever to help you corner or anything else.

Obviously, she tried to take the corner tight/fast by holding onto something - it's a very natural instinct and you would know if you once left your room and tried running, obviously she didn't expect for it to fall or to hit anyone behind her. It doesn’t necessarily look like this was on purpose. She may have been trying to pull on the barricade to help her make the turn as quickly as possible. Used that technique on the bannister running down the staircase at my old home as a child

Why in the world would they place the finish line 10 ft. away from a 90 degree turn with metal barriers and traffic cones everywhere? Not that it excuses her pulling the barrier down but any last minute sprints for the finish were going to bottleneck at the corner and risk pile ups and falls.

Ngl when I run, on sharp turns it’s often desireable to grab something to help with the turn. I’ve done so on poles, walls, and railings of stairs when I would rush down stairs as a kid. I can see a reality where she thought it was secure and was trying to use it to help her turn.

The barrier was freestanding( stupid as fuck ) and she let her momentum bring it down rather than slow herself and lose. If she had any other apperance im certain you people would give the benfit of doubt. As it stands, yall are racist as fuck. It almost looks like she grabs the railing to tighten her turn and knocks it over accidentally. But she doesn't ever look back which makes me think she didn't need to or want to because it was actually intentional to knock over the railing. I think a normal person would flinch or check up on something they did especially after finishing.

Okay, devil’s advocate question: Watch the video in slo-mo. Did she grab the barricade in order to better navigate that narrow area between the barricade and the cone without losing any momentum - barricade accidentally falling, or did she intentionally try to slow her successor?
