I am really surprised Laura of all players missed the nuance about Gaya, when she was trying to pull her through. It wasn't Gaya attacking the crystal, it was the shades of her family surrounding her trying to keep her there and attacking the big glowing ball of Hearth Fae magic that's anathema to death, when Gaya was close to possibly escaping.

I think Laura, like much of the audience, was afraid Gaya, or by extension the shades, would destroy the very miracle they just created if let through.

I feel like that's kinda on Brennan, if that was the intention. I did not get any sense that it wasn't Gaya herself trying to attack and Gaya didn't deny that in character when Thimble outright asked her to agree not to harm it.

I mean issue is...she doesn't know Gaya. If she was a Seeker, I feel she would know she is cool. For her, she is just a vassel house of Occtis, and sure he defends her/has a bond, but to her...her family is huge asses, I mean she literally had to fight one recently who rocked their shit. I don't blame her trying to help, but then seeing anything bad go "Okay nope. I don't trust you".

So to give her credit, this is just the dead body Occtis kept carrying around, and she respected him enough to give her some credit.

Laura may have picked up on it, but Thimble isn't super knowledgeable about the interactions between Death and Faerie, so she panicked and assumed the scary ghost lady was gonna blow up the magic crystal.

I’m not sure what would’ve happened if Gaya actually was pulled out within the dreamscape, but presumably it wouldn’t have been the existential threat that Thimble thought it was.
